I have stash of three Purple Satellite plants, and of Zamaldelica, so to have an idea of how the two blend, I ground up a bit of Purple Satellite with a bit more of Zamaldelica and made a nice cone to sample the cocktail. It was fantastic! A rich floral/fuel aroma and flavor with a crisp, energetic, long lasting high. 👌

I have stash of both the Purple Satellite and the Zamaldelica so I ground up a 40/60 blend to get an idea of what is coming... if that was any indication, WOW! A great combination. View attachment 18842517 👍

@vermontman It is wonderful to see you are still out here in the message boards. I've been following your work for a while and this season decided to grow some Purple Satellite, Zacateca Tribute, and Green Mountain Grape.
I've been working on a line for the past 5 years that is based on a cross between Burnt Tangerine (Sprout Seeds) and Nanda Devi Nepalese Landrace (Real Seed Co.) I love this plant and find that every pheno is a keeper. Last year I crossed it with Bodhi Razberry Hashplant which improved the bud structure at the cost of height & internodal tightness.

Now I am very excited to cross it with your strains, especially that purple satellite.

I did have a question, I learned a little too late about some of the Purple Satellite's sensitivities to transition outdoors. I sent her from my indoor space out to my PNW outdoor space in the latter half of April and it has begun to flower already.
Should I just hope that it goes back to veg well enough to make it through the season or should I hit the plants with a flood light in the evening for a few weeks?
Hello Sir Scott!
Great question and THANK YOU!
I would pinch off the tops up pot in a very nitrogen rich mix, if you are not an organic grower, heavy drink with pure ammoniun nitrate, but if you are organic a good dose of blood meal, and extra light certainly would help seal the deal.
Hope that helps!
CHEERS!

PURPLE SATELLITE
Batch Fall 2021 germination test.
Only one out of 15 did not pop. This pic is on day 4 but all had popped by day 2
I just wanted to go to seed germination practice, I know its very newb but. For many years I was of the thought right into the dirt was the way to go, and whats with the paper towel thing. Though soil can work just fine, I now start most of my seed on towel, no need to be dark, but very important to maintain an 85 degree F or 29.4 C. Handling need to be a bit more delicately but the sprouts are pretty resilient. Paper towel is fairly sterile where soil especially with added organic amendments can foul of carry pathogens that love to make a snack of newborn seedlings.
This is just my view point that I have adopted after many years.

Good growing Rob! I like starting them in smaller pots. ✌️

I never experienced that... I'm germinating my seeds in tap water and when they have opened i put them into soil. Just today i did that with 4 new seedlings. But to each his own when it's working. :)

Hey Vermontman,
I wish I had better luck while I was trying to germinate some of these. I tried 6 and got 0/6 in paper towel and after 5 days I put them in soil to see what would happen. I should note that the other 6 strains I was germinating with them all cracked and went in pots within 48 hours.
Decided to try the other 6 from the pack and had 2 crack within 36 hours but the other 4 have still done nothing.
Not sure what happened because I’ve had an almost 100% germination rate on everything I’ve started the last 6 years.
So in the end I got 2 out of 12. Pretty disappointing as these sound like a great cross I may never get to try
I’m hopefully I can at least get one female for my dad to grow outside this year.
No hard feelings, just thought you should know.

Man really sorry for that!
Had a couple negatives on Satellite germ but more great than not. That's why I ran a batch germ test. I think something may, have happened in transport? Are you in the States, if yes please PM me. As for all the other folks above who wrote or contributed, greatly appreciated here. And I would respond in kind, but I am currently battling Lymes and it is really hard to type at the moment.
But thank you all for your contributions!

Just in case anybody overlooked this detail the lymes can be very serious and I really hope you are catching things early. Getting pumped up on antibiotics and being on top of that thing. Good vibes your way brother.

Yeah, wishing you a quick recovery, Vermontman! Lymes is very dangerous, but the fact that you know you are ill with it is good, because all it needs is a good doze of antibiotics.
I spray my trousers with a mosquito+ticks repellent every time I go to my garden, and then in the evening check my skin for ticks, because we have ticks that carry Lymes in the area, my mother got very ill with it 10 years ago because it took some time for the doctors to properly diagnose, she was treated for the various symptoms (but not the cause) for several months until it paralized half of her face and I insisted that she takes a test for Lymes disease... then 2 weeks on antibiotics and she was all good.

My Zacatecas, I started 8 of them, turned out 4 females and 4 males:
