this is my first time running the ape, she smells of fizzy grape candy and her nugs are very dense. shes at 7 weeks yesterday, these pics were taken at 6 1/2 weeks-
Wish I had a cut of the Grape Ape. It's definitely one of my favorite tasting/smelling strains from my times in California. It's becoming much more prevalent on the east coast as well in recent times. I had to purchase a little more then usual the last couple years, but I'd say half the time I bought "the good shit" it's been grape ape, or grape ape under a multitude of catchy purple names.
yo usual
hope u wont be alone on this thread
im loving my version and will play with it for a min.
but im sure the original will be back in my garden
peace

I have some Grape Ape running right now in rockwool, top drip, recirculating, 36 plants. Vegged 1 month. Im using Cutting Edge Nutes, with a couple others. This is one of my favorite strains, grows well, looks and smells fantastic. Im currently in day 21 of flower...~Burns~
Loved the ape, my cut took about 70 days and was grape candy goodness. Hard to keep moms around and stay in the legal numbers, so I lost her due to other interests. Great Strain, one of my top 5 and a definite must grow again for sure.
MoneyMike- Thanks Bro I knew I have had her a long time but I smoke soo much I couldnt even begin to guess but yes sir 7yrs sounds good my friend.
Phog- Thanks some serious dank you got going on there. Much props that damn sure looks just like her.
MisterPostman- I agree with everything you said, but the sad reality is that on the East Coast most Grape Ape/Urkle/GDP get a bad wrap because alot of it and I mean alot lacks flavor or really any type of purple taste. Many times it will look great only to disappoint when smoked just my 2 cents alot of times it is heavily chem flavored. I would say only %15 of the Grape Ape/Urkle/GDP on the east coast is acceptable and no disrespect to outdoor but alot seems to be either some hydro grown that looks too pretty but smokes like a cigarette or some outdoor that is 3 weeks from going bad or is waay too beat up.
Easy -Glad to have the thread starter check in much props my man, if you dont deserve the original nobody does.
Good stuff everybody Burns you need to make your pics bigger bro, but it looks like your rocking and rolling.
Thought I was looking at pics of my plants for a sec had to look back, they look damn good. Mine are 25 days and slightly less mass but differently on right track, I've grown ape 4 times now and this is the healthiest they have looked... I don't really know how to make pics bigger, shit was lucky enough to get those posted. I'll do some research and get to the bottom of it, was in a hurry last time and got a little to excited to find this thread lots to compare and ppl with experience .
heres a few grape ape nugs, they are very dense and they stink of grape candy and perfume. Unfortunately i had to toss all my cuts, grape ape included, made some beans with her so i will prob find a close pheno or even better. if i could, i would get her back in a heartbeat though-
Hi
Ive got a grape ape x SSH cross and i love them. My buddy popped 4 seeds and we have split up the phenos. They are all wonderful in their own way, it so hard to chose. I would love the original those nugs look tasty.
Timbuktu
How close does GDP/Grape Ape look compared to Bubba Kush - it seems they are very close? Also, is there some of the same genetics in each and does anyone know forsure?
