curious about your flos. not so long time ago I grew flo91 x old time moonshine. look at it:
Thats a fantastic looking plant. I hope my flo male successfully polinates the squirrel tail.I think that flo is 60% sativa only, and with stature of indica, so it needs long veg time, ideal for outdoors at northern hemisphere, as when you plant it at May, it can have good size at October... I really liked flo/otm, but as sativa lover... it was not sativa enough for me, thats why I crossed it with haze and now it has stretch I need...

Its a month old pic, but we have all the mothers flowering on some old blurples. A single male flo is in there with flo female, both panamas and the thai.

fyi- red/purple stems arent always a deficiency in fact in djs lines they come from the oregon purple thai or oaxacan side and are genetic. alot of high terpene/cannabinoid plants have the colored xylem due to a mutant CAD gene which causes abnormal amounts of aldehydes and phenols into the lignin. this is a result of increased precursor available due to the plant being unable to convert cinnamic alcohols last change into lignin.ive found if it is not genetic is usually a low root zone/rez temp but looks like yours are perfect heres an article of red xylem mulberry from japan if your interested. really nice plants mangThank you, I had just started testing the waters with a first real dose of nutrients. I’ve noticed the beginning of some claws, (I had some more serious claws when I ran the Blueberry).
I wont be giving much more 20-20-20 as I am now in flowering.
Next feed will probably be straight bloom booster, 10-30-20, with a little cal mag. And speaking of calcium…
I was looking at mulders chart…

and I feel that excess calcium may be slowing the phosphorus/potassium/magnesium uptake and leading to purple/woody stems that so many people like to point out. Personally, Ive never been to concerned with purple stems, but when they are stiff and difficult to train, I start to wonder.
You have extensive experience with the Blue family, what are your thoughts on calcium sensitivity in the blue family?

here is some good pics to show you from snowhighs chocolate thai line which he believes to be the same as dj used. oregon prple thai used in blueberry and flo is a mating between choc thai and oaxacan. snowhigh has some really cool pics of the choc here they are

in this pic you can see the kind of droopy character that comes along with a cad mutant. also ive noticed that haze etc have the candycane stripe in stems. this seems to be a hetergeous situation where one parental held the trait and the other did not. the various combinations of this hetero condition probably create some diversity in the profiles. i have not grown alot of djs stuff but he is a great breeder who wrote alot about these mutant types.thanks for sharing these beautiful ladies
