I have 2 Granddaddy Purple clones, I posted them earlier.. these are now nearly TWO WEEKS in veg. The first week was under shoplight flouro, and trhe second week has been 400w MH.

Is this consistant with everyone elses Granddaddy Purple? Slow slow slow vegetative growth.

Here they are after 2 days veg from the dispensary, not much growth since then eh?

(sorry for doubble post, I'm trying to verify these as GDP.... are they Purple Urkle? The club BPG had them labeled as Granddaddy Purple, and I have no reason to suspect them of wrongdoing, but there are so many purples with shady heritage and crazy names that word of mouth may have got these mixed up at some point along the line.)

Really slow in veg seems consistent with the club version that's been released. I dont have the OTHER one myself, but as i said before i've tossed the club version due to the extremely slow veg, lack of vigor, and almost zero stretch. There is another version out there that's better in every way as far as growth is concerned.

Having said that, the product may be very high quality and if you have no commercial interest at all - then I can see it being worth growing for personal use. My club cut never made it to the finish line unfortunately =\ So i can't speak on that. I'm pretty sure i had the same cut as BluntItUp so maybe you should try to ask him some questions. If recall correctly he loves the finished product

I also have Bluntitup's cut, but we have talked and believe it to be Purple Erkle. There is always some confusion when word of mouth is involvedd, anyone can mislable a cut and send it on it's way...Bluntitup's got his "GDP" (which we now believe to be P. Urkle) from mendocino.

I got these two GDPs from BPG, they are sitting in a pot full of radioactive soil! lol But seriously, that is some super potent soil and they seem to be eating it up, lush green and healthy looking... just slloooowwww. They have also had two feedings of kelp and guano tea... they should be rocketing. If that was any of my other strains, they would be stout bushes by now :p

S4vvy, I'm looking for the commercial GDP... duh. :)

snowcap sux. Made popular as a Local Mendo strain, big yielder, boring flavour, decent buzz. All over the place. From a farm in Mendo with bad juju.

The real GDP is dank, rainbow colored, kush bottom, and expandiing smoke. Great buzz, and flavour. Beautiful looks. Stinks up any area one smokes in, even if the smoke is kept to a minimum, won;t fool anyone if you smoke the real GDP, watch out in hotels, haha...

Erkle is lovely sometimes, more hairy, less solid. Similar flavour. Grape ape is none of the above, regardless of what people say. And they do say.....

yo you're talking about the fake snowcap which came back to mendo and was grown out and found in some 'dam seeds....ya gonna be garbage for sure

there is an OLD humboldt ghani called snowcap that DOESNT suck...it CAN be a HUGE yielder of super top shelf shit

before you start slinging mud please check your facts, the real deal snowcap is some of the better herbs out there and is super consistant.

the grandaddy is like 4 weeks in right now for me and i'll post some pics around week 6 of her in bloom for ya'll... :)

stay loose

purple urkle mmmm
Grandaddy cuts appear at the modesto club every so often. Everytime I have seen them there, it was scraggly unhealthy tiny little cuts. Still wish i would have grabbed one at least.... I keep my eye out though....
What im really looking for is the purple urkle though. I want to cross it with this "original g-13" im running (breeding and reproducing pure also-from seed form)
Im really rather busy with other projects anyways, So may just let her fall into my hands someday.
Im running lav for my "grape flavors" and it's just way too stretchy for my setup and 7 foot ceilings.
Also,Im looking at getting DJ shorts "Grape Krush" to replace my stretchy lav mom.. Anyone tried this one? If so-how does it compare to urkle or grandaddy ? Just from my own observations of life in general....i'M thinking DJ'S grape will have the desired potency im after- :bat: .
PLUS+Old school methods, work best for an old school palatte sorta thing.
thanks for urkin up my purple jones...... :chin:

Yea urkle is good but grandaddy is the same thing + yields so thats cool. I wouldn't want to deal with any of em for breeding...start with the ibls...

Anyway, the grandaddy is the shit and lets end this thread with that. it takes a long time to get em up to size but damn if you're on top of things that wont be a problem...

Why end this thread? let's keep it going!!

I scored a third cutting of Granddaddy Purple, I will keep buying them until I am sure I have the keeper Granddaddy... here she is in her new home.

I have also been rooting some Purple Erkle, I have 7 mothers now. These girls take 2+ weeks to root, it's a rough ride but they survived with minor yellowing... they are taking off now!

And here's the whole veg chamber..

In the back 2 Granddaddy Purples, clawed leaves due to neem I sprayed on them, I found some PM on their lower leaves... damn club cuts... In the back row, there's AK47, Pot of Gold, Pot of Gold, Sweet Tooth. Next row is Erkle, Erkle, Bubbleberry, Erkle. Next row, Erkle, Erkle, Erkle, Erkle. front row, GDP3, Erkle2, and The HOG.

next run is gona be fun :)

Those clawed leaves are normal for the club's GDP clones. Mines had em and your new one has it too it seems. If you want some purple genetics you'd have better luck trying to grab a Purple Cream clone from mission. It's one of few clones from that place that's actually verified by pics on this forum. Although its genetic make up is still inn the air, it's more than likely and Urkle cross as well
