I think the Big Bud in GDP is Salmon Creek Big Bud.
Which is a bit more potent and a little bit spicey tasting.

Hey, I have been looking around and saw that a lot of sites tell you the THC content of their plants, does anyone know what kind of high GDP gives and the THC content?

I know it's an indica high.
A rather nice one when grown right.
But I imagine the THC content is not crazy high.
But not sure.

It's a body numbing relaxing effect.
It's good if grown right.
Nice Sour sandlewood and grape flavor.
I think Urkle is better.
Taste wise.

This is the real grandaddy. I live in the bay area of california and this is all my friends smoke. I prefer the perfectly grown Jack Herer, or Super Silver Sour Diesel Haze. Grandaddy is pretty insane. It is all how the grower grows it. You can not say it is a bad strain unless you have tried a quality grown version of the strain.

I also have a couple clones of grandaddy. I will post them when they get a little bigger. The clones were taken from a flowering female. The clones actually smell like bud. It is the unmistakeable smell of GDP. The GDP smells so pungent that when someone brings in a med bottle, you can smell it right when they walk in the door. It really is a one of a kind strain. I have seen two different types of grandaddy. The OG grandaddy, which is usually tighter nugs then the normal GDP.

when I smoke the granddaddy the high comes on fast but then evens out and fizzles away. I wont spend my money or grow these puprles because they seem like just hype to me. Most of the time the green phenos of these puprle strains seem to have more bite to them in their high. If I had to choose a purple tho it would be the mendo purps, that is a good purple to me and the purple monkey balls. Maybe I havent gotten any good gdp or urkle. what do you guys think? by the way Im a med patient in the bay.

I just found out that purple monkey balls is also deep chunk Ibl

sure is... IMO, i don't consider that one a "purple", strain. i've got quite a few of them waiting for open pollenation. some of them had an absolutely devastating stone. DC = Mendicino Death Cabbage = Hindu Death Cabbage = Monkey Balls.

Hard to tell Keph. Like I said on your other thread at PG, gimme a bud shot at 4 weeks and I can make a better call. From looking at the structure I'd say it looks alittle lanky but that could be due to a number of factors.

tended the GDP cut outdoors this past season with yields at 1/2 lb avg.......easy to care for and the whole plant finished at once.......nice flavor and midday high, but nothin' spectactular....up'ed the weight potential and strength of the Erkle, but lost some of the quality/taste flower....

I crossed with a Williams Wonder IX-1 male to increase potency and flower size.....Grand-Daddy Wonder f1

will see........
