Gramma Watt BUSTED...

Gramma....I hope you bounced the daughter and her BF....if she were mine, her choices would be simple...him or me...no if, ands or buts....

I like when they call it manufacturing.. AS IF growing a plant is manufacturing.

Makes it sound more industrial/organized crime like.

Distribution/Manufacturing are the same exact felony here. You get caught doing either one you get nailed with both labels in your criminal record.

Yeah he is her ex, but she just got a job in that county and they are still under the same roof for now. They have a kid together as well.

I was very good to him, gave him meds more than once. Said he needed it to sleep. Prolly sold it..asshole mutha fugger.

You seem like a kind hearted person, Gramma. You are, however, acting very naive.

Your daughter is not going to leave this guy. There's a reason they're still under the same roof. She may be assuring you she is leaving him. And you may want to believe she is. But if she were truly leaving him...she wouldn't be living under the same roof.

Quite frankly, while I'm sure you love your daughter and grand child...it may be time to put some serious distance between you and her drama. Doesn't mean you can't call and talk. But I have a feeling you would be better off without her and the drama she brings living so close. Some people love drama. You can ask them, "Why do you want all this drama in your life.". And they ALL respond with, "drama? what drama? I don't like drama?". You can look at anyone's life and realize quickly whether or not they like drama. Because people that don't like drama...don't have drama in their lives.

Let her be drama filled a thousand miles away.

And one last question for you. Why do you want all this drama in your life?

Yes, i am very naieve...I always look for the good ..even when I know there is none there, I keep looking for it.

I have been keeping a distance from her...and it is because i feel like she betrayed me and her family by going back to him after he snitched and ruined our lives. The least she could do would be get the fuck out of there..the best would be to come move in with us...get a job, sue him for child support...and contribute to the Colorado Fund.
I hate the drama...don't want it...just want to smoke my meds in peace..

It is interminable miserable here. We grew our own...and hardly ever ran out..we smoked pretty heavy, the ol man for his back and depression, and me for my leg and menopause. It makes all the difference for me...cuts down on mood swings and hot flashes.

Before we were so happy, the ol man spent hours in the growroom, sometimes just looking at his girls...losing all that was like losing a beloved pet..

But now all we do is fight...over everything, because everyone is on edge. we talk about revenge...and all the things we would like to do to his rat ass...it escalates and gets ugly, with everyone blaming everyone else.

We look at Craigslist in states that have MMJ laws...at houses with room for horses, and jobs ...and it's always...if only this...if only that...

Fuckin sucks...

There isnt any jobs here, but places are going cheap.Even closer to the country, like where im at.

You and your husband would both qualify for the MMJ too.

That's a pretty crazy story. I'm sorry to hear that. I can't believe you were in for 3 days for that. I've got arrested for a couple pounds in school zones with scales a few times and made bail in a few hours in a non med state. That's some straight bull shit. Definitely keep the private attorney cause those public defenders are trash. Good luck!

Actually, I was in jail for a solid seven days, on a 10,000 dollar full cash bond.

I do have a lawyer, for now...we signed over our bonds...he got mine reduced to 2500/10% =250 and the ol mans was 1000, so that is 1250 he has...hasn't really said what the final cost woud be.
Old country lawyer with an office straight out the forties...good guy...his family has been practicing law out of there for generations, I think he will get me a conditional discharge...I am hoping.

Oh my god 7 days? That's crazy! The system needs to change very badly. There's real criminals out here that the police need to be focusing on. I hope it all works out for you but your state and county sound crazy. After your case ends, run as fast as you can to Colorado.

Yep..Kentucky will probably be the last bastion of Prohibition. The government is outrageously corrupt and it's a well known fact throughout the state. Vote buying was a tradition round these parts for years.
We need the revenue..and everyone I talk to thinks it should be legal.
I don't know how bad off other states are but KY is pretty fuggin bad.We are facing an estimated budget shortfall of $1.4 billion for FY 2011 and $108 million shortfall for the current 2010 fiscal year.

I have lived here all my 49 years...I will miss it so....

Its interesting that you see KY as being the last state to change, only because before the Marijuana Tax Act of 1937, KY's largest cash crop was hemp. I wonder how this country would have been if not for the prohibition of MMJ...

GMW - Sorry to hear about your situation.

I am sure you get this now after the fact but the lessons to learn from this whole scenario are:

1. DON'T OPEN THE DOOR TO POLICE

2. DON'T TELL ANYONE WHO ISN'T INVOLVED as loose lips sink ships.

Karma will come back on your daughter's boyfriend in the long run so no worries as he will get his.

Hold your head high and you will get through it!

UPDATE

The case was originally discharged due to a failure to indict, but they just brought it back up and we agreed to a 2 year diversion program. Two years probation and our record is clean.

your lawyer couldn't get it dismissed by claiming failure to speedy trial especially for a trivial matter?

sounds corrupt to me! does that involve counseling? were you forced to fess up in court to an addiction to weed by the district attorney?

Glad to hear you'll be getting on with life, as always respect rule #1.
