You gonna leave us hanging...do tell.

Tissue culture
I used to work for the largest raspberry producer in the US and got to spend time in their tissue culture lab
I bought a home tissue culture kit off the internet and got one node to sprout
It's a fucking pain in the ass getting everything sterilized
It would be really hard to support the investment necessary to get a system up and running efficiently

I dislike RW cubes because of the need to harden off rooted cuts, plugs seem ready grow as soon as they hit the medium, as do aero/bubble cloner cuts. RW is my least favorite rooting technique, not saying they don't work...just that I prefer other methods.

Glad to know I'm not the only one.. Lots of dudes seem to get magical ass results with RW but I can't seem to beat my aerocloner with any other medium.

Nothing mindshattering about the numbering unfortunately, or the planting - they have a machine that seeds thousands of trays and they start all plants by seed. I did however get a great tip for collecting pollen off plants. You get a cheap electric toothbrush and take the head off so the metal vibrating part is exposed. Then put that metal bit against a male flower with a container underneath and turn on the toothbrush. All the pollen from that flower buzzes off without disturbing the other flowers.

As for numbering, if I decide to make seed from a line it gets a number for ease of ordering. My old numbering system was to just do project number, then generation number, then plant number. So the first plant of the first generation of my first project, its tag reads 1.1.1. If it's a different line it'd be 2.1.1, etc. iI've now added the year to the head of the numbering, so 2013.1.1.3, or 2014.1.2.1 to help keep better notes and see if an issue is a full line of seeds or just that year's batch. That's enough for the tag itself, but in a notebook or on the seed containers I will note the parent crossing underneath as the source. I'm trying to figure a quick way to note the parents on the tag for F2s so I can have an easier time differentiating between cousins. Perhaps something such as 2014(Year).1(Project#).2(Generation).3x5(Plant 3 x Plant 5 from the first generation).1(Plant 1 grown out of this specific cross).

those are prophets beans 100% if they have the little "up" wax seal on the envelope. there are a couple other shops in the bay area that keep his beans on hand. they're legit s1's.

I just got a bunch of RW cubes. I have seen a lot of people get great results using them for rooting. I have tried everything else I might as well try these. they might work the best for me. Wont know until I try them.

Could someone explain this harden off issue in a bit more detail for me. I have never had it so im not familiar with it. Is there something I should be looking for?

I have cuts in RR, RW, Water cloner, Areo Cloner. They all root cuts. The ones I have tried are inconsistent. I will most lily get the same results with RW. I have never had to make my cuts sterile to get them to root.? Just make sure everything is clean.. The gg#4 will root in anything. She doesn't need much to get her to root. Its the cuts that are not like gg#4 that I want to improve the rooting on.I would like to be able to root 10 Sour Dubb's or White Jones when ever I want but its not that easy.

What up Glue Crew....
Been a while since I've been on the forums, Got a lot of the full season garden finished....got the indoor fired back up and rocking week one flower. woohoo.

So, here is a lil peek to what I have going on.

Reversed GSC(forumcut) X Gorilla Glue#4
Over this past Spring/Summer, I reversed a Cherry Pie & Girl Scout Cookies (forumcut) with colloidal Silver and it was a success.

I hit a couple lower branches of a Glue with Cookie Pollen and ended up with a few dozen beans.

I popped 2 seeds, Vegged them out for a few weeks, and took clones to be flowered out.

The clones have been in flower for one week, as of today.

Here is what they look like thus far.

There is also a forum member that is also growing 2 different phenos of the seeds I made.....He is a couple weeks ahead of me in flower, so in total we have 4 phenos that are being documented.

Cheers

i havent experienced any hardenning off with rockwool personally. in my room the biggest deal for me is space air space and avoiding trapped areas of soggyness in the rw cubes themselves or the leaves. i like those clear office storage bins because they taper out as they go up instead of in like the stupid humidity domes. those things suck. i make sure the rockwool snt touching if i really dont want any losses and putting a layer lightly moist perlite on the bottom. prop the lid for air exchange and do it as soon as the clones acclimate and are in the box for a day or so.i start opening the lid a lil more after afew days and a little more a few days later. if they are starting to yellow at all during the process i foliar with whatever is in my tank be it bloom or grow feed. doesnt matter. it greens em up quick. its a good idea to foliar every 3-5 days i think. keeps you from having those yellow sad clones that took 2-2.5 weeks to root. they run out of steam. hit em til they green up. dont let yellowing get far. as soon as you see the fade spritz em. and if you keep em fed and they have adequate humidity in the tub you can give em decent light . 4 t5 bulbs 2 feet from the bin will root em fast but you have to keep up with their nutrition and humidity under that light or theyll yellow out quick.

*edit* ********************************************************************************heat mat under tubs set to 75-78 or ambient room temps around 80. they like warmth and bleach in the cloning solution is essential. people who say that chlorine in tap water should be reoved for cloning are clueless. you want the solution as chlorinated as the plants can handle. i ad 2 drops (not droppers) of household bleach per gallon of solution on top of the already chlorinated tap.
it only lasts a few days so if you remoisten add a couple more drops per gallon.
