I will go look at ACE see what they got. The pump is the easy part. Finding room in the flower room for another rez is not.

Set up your res outside of your flower, then use a drill bit and a grommet to route the hose through the wall with no light leaks. My vert rooms like 96 Sq ft. Setting the res up outside of the room was a must, and ya get the added bennie of being able to clean/top off the res without disturbing the plants even during lights off.

hell I just get a cheap sub pump at the hydro store for 30 bucks and attach a hose to it with a cheap wand with a on/off valve on it, whether feeding out of a rez or 5 gl bucket it works fine,

The pump has to have enough head to pump the water through 25'+ of hose. You need a good size pump to do that. I might just get a large Sump pump and get a 50' hose then I can just attache the hose when I water. When done put the hose away. My rez is already setup in the veg room. Its not going anywhere.

it dont take much pump as long as you aren't pumping uphill , flat pumping through a 50 ft 3/4 in hose with a cheap 30 $ pump is no problem

yea 1/4 or 1/3 sump pump/ utility pump NO float swith just a plug, w/ a surge protector on/off. GET THE GOODYEAR/CONTENINTIAL BLACK TIRE HOSE, with a mondi wand, lasts at least a year or six months. Two if your gentle, im pretty ruff so a year if lucky.

I tried it with a danner Mag 5 it didn't work. No flow from the hose. Mag 5 is 500gph decent pump. My mag 12 might work. I will just get a sump pump.

yah that is weird

i used to use an ecoplus 396gph ($25), handwatered with a watering wand and 25' hose

if there is no uphill slope i dont see why that wouldnt work

So far I am really digging the tomato cage. I opened up the plant and tied the main stem to the bottom ring.

It just made a bunch of greasy 6" buds going all around the ring.

Half way mark

What happens with pumps to me when I have used wand and hose is that the impellers would gradually wear out. The shafts are made from ceramic and they just wear, it would cause the pump to not be able to create enough pressure to begin it's siphoning so it would stall.
Bet if you took the impeller out give a good clean and if not damaged too bad will pump through that hose. One way that I check when it starts to not pump is to jiggle the pump around in rez and sometimes it would start pumping again. Another way is to actually suck on end of hose like your stealing gas, if it kicks in and starts to pump you have dirty/damaged impellers. The same pump may work absolutely fine if sat in bucket of water with no hoses attached. This method has served me well and helped quite a few pumps last a little longer.
But try it may work cause pump is big enough at 500gph I've hooked little 296gph pumps to wands and it worked.
PEACE!

I have another small pump I use to pump out the Nutrients into my buckets. The flow is not very strong. That s only a 6' line straight from the drum..I ordered a 2500gph sump pump with 3/4" garden hose fitting on it.. All I need to do is attach the hose, turn on the pump and water. The wand should keep the water pressure until I squeeze the handle.

im telling you man. you want the sump i was talking about. if you already have pumps around sure. but if you are going to go buy one dont waste your time looking for the smallest that can work. those 1/4 hp pumps are the shit. up hill no problem. mucky cruddy water no problem. they even survive being left on over and over in an empty tank many times over.(oops)
i always have one as a back up. its in my rez and i use it to stir sometimes but mainly it sits there til i need it. i have a ton of em. wish you were my neighbor. i have a trash can with wheels and a sump i use to do treatments i dont want to put in my tank.

Ditto this. $65 gets you a 1/4hp sump style pump with male garden hose adapter. 50ft hose and a DRAMM wand and you are in business. This setup works great and will provide plenty of flow no matter what you are watering with.

these are 120 bucks. they turn on and off automatically with a factory pressure switch and you can buy a warranty that is a swap out at harbor freight. they are tough and cheap. they arent submersible. you instal in line with a filter and a check valve. i think i can run 48 sprayers off this thing per zone at once. pvc line to the tank and into room. instal a hose bib and you plug in and never fuck with the pump its as simple as picking up garden hose and watering. no turning on and off pump. its like the hose in your back yard. this is the fucking shit if you are willing to put in a lil pipe gluing time. simple though. so user friendly. it just always works.

for an out of the box solution plug and play almost no assembly required and no tools necessary easy to just get going cheap. sumps ftw. they can be finicky and need to be turned on and off sometimes to get em to prime. have to go turn on and off which is no biggie.other wise the simplest cheapest quickest set up. old standby.
