Gel clonex is not something you can PH. You must be using another kind that has water in it. The gel is thick purple stuff.
Not the cloning gel it's the actual clone and seedling food but really whatever you want to use as a pre buffer is cool I just use clonex.
Kln, rhizotonic, canna start or rapid start all work great too.
You are referring to Clonex Solution. I don't have that. Cloning gel or solution is not the issue. The cultivar is why its hard to root. The solution is for already established new roots.
I got ya man I'm with you, the pH tweek is really what I was gettin at.
I think they like the pH a lil higher for rooting.
Whatever solution you use or don't use is entirely up to you.
Its more dipping your rapid starters in a ph'd solution I'm gettin at.
Cheap ass rooting powder from any hardware store, then into coco in beer cups. No domes, no mats, no sprays, just strait under the cfl till they root. My second favorite was always the rapid rooters or root riots tho. ph'd water in the coco would probably help, but havent needed to so far.

Home Depot has the powder for like 5 bucks and it works great. I have like a 98%-100% success rate everytime.
sounds like a pathogen. no cut takes 26 days unless its fighting something, those clone machines can be near impossible to clean thoroughly . bleach cant reach through film left behind.any organic material can harbor and protect lil microorganisms from the bleach. the inside of those manifolds and pumps arent really accessible to clean by scrubbing. use erythromycin to kill certain pathogens like cyanobacteria, also anything heat treatable should be. thats how i used to clean mine. soak everything in 140 water for an hour. something in addition to a chem disinfectant to ensure a solid knock down of what ever is in your system. those things work great til they dont then, if you just try bleaching it, it will just start to be so frustrating you abandon it. .
I have a bunch of cuts in the dome. There all in perfect shape even the 1's I took 10 days ago. Just leave them be and see what happens. Some of my cultivars don't do well without the dome. They need to be kept in a humid climate or they will wilt. They look perfect as if I just took the cutting. If I don't and use the try within a few hrs there wilted over..
I have an EZ-Clone 120 and an EZ-Clone 16.
I dont clean mine other than a rez rinse in the shower, and then run water through the pump and sprayers. Thats it. I always get good results.
