it looks like he raised them to do work. seeing as they look freshly situated, im guessing he snapped the pic after he was done working and they were up out of the way.

That's it. I have them out of the way, cause I kept knocking my head into them.

That and it's been really warm here, and the daytime temps have been touching the high 80s in the room. The more inline the lights are the better they cool. Won't be an issue now, since I am running at night, and cold front is coming in. Hopefully to stay. I've got to rev up the atomizer and spray some preventatives. After everything is swept and mopped today, I am going to lower them.

The plants are right at 2 foot, so I am guessing they will double?

Beautiful set up Bobby !!!

you thinking about the switch to Gavitas or Epaps at all ? you defenatly have the headroom for them !

It was a money thing. I can get a full light set up with two bulbs, cool tube, hangers, and a useless timer for 191 on Amazon. Aren't Gavitas around 450? IMO, the 2000w will still produce more than the 1150 Gavita. Another concern was cooling the lights. I am not going to add AC until spring, and these lights cool easily.

I also have another basement to set up with 20k, after this one is done. So that's another 3800 in lights as opposed to 9 grand.

I am sure I will eventually go to that, once I get a warehouse going.

THE EXTRA YIELD WOULD KINDA COVER THOSE PRICES NO?

I don't know. I have never used them.

My thinking, when planning a $20k operation, was to stick with what I know and not experiment with new tech.

I really like Current Culture undercurrents, but I am not about to bet 20 grand on it.

I have another basement to fill, and a garage. Ill eventually get around to buying some, but right now I am busy with what I know works.

replace a single light with a decent d.e. set up. remember to get it up higher and see what you think. i bet youll dig it.
you are a good grower it would be a shame to see you miss the progress that these lights have shown. you never go back.

Hard to argue this point. Good de is 70% more efficient at delivering photons than avg hps. Combine that with the raised height giving you more even lighting and I fail to see the risk.

I wouldn't bet on an undercurrent though

But I might bet on phillips 315s in greenbeam reflectors over de

At 450, they need to be 100% more efficient. Actually a little more.

Correct me if I am wrong, if a regular DE can match 1700w of regular HPS (70% more), then I am still doing better by getting 2000 watts for 380.

I get it, that DEs are the new shit and are better.

I just got 6 for 430ea after doing a few runs with the 750de, ROI first harvest is easy, along with replacing bulbs once every 2 year and the light these put out you save alot of cash just after first few runs if you switch ur bulbs out frequently.
.also would need less lights to cover same area. I see most do 3 de over 2 4x8 tables

Factor in cooling and bulb life. 70% more cooling, for me 4 sets of hps in 2 yrs vs 1 de.

No doubt you got a point...but sooner or later you need an ac.

Currently at 32 months with my original Phillips de bulbs. Last light I pulled went 34 zips and was never tuned up past 750.

The cost of bulb replacement is where these shine.

Good question!!!

Mh is supposed to produce more essential oils and terps, but less yield, so I've heard of people finishing with them after the bulk of weight is already formed. Also work well to start flower with for less stretch and tighter nodes. Probably would be great for gg4
