You will need 48oz to hit your #'s...the more plants you put in the lower ea plant will need to produce. with 15 plants @3.7oz ea=3.5lbs..15 is what im going to try...

The glues are getting big !!! 1 more week under the T5's then in the big room under the 600's . might even leave the 600's on 24/7 for an additional week so i can grab some cuts to even out the canopy & have some clones on hand .

what's the root mass look like in those 5gal's? Does the root ball fill
it up pretty good when you dump after use?
Me JB ???

those are only 2 gallon pots :)
2 gallon hempy buckets , they have a 2" rez of perilite in the bottom so they have fresh nutes to feed on at all times .

with using rhizo ..... my rootballs are a solid brick after harvest !!!! my 3 gallon smartie rootballs .... you couldn't break up by hand ... i had to use a shovel

alright DB I thought they were 5 I'm not sure if I could get a root ball to fill a 5gal over 3-4months of growth maybe I need to plant in the bigger pots instead of up potting so frequent.

frequent up potting is better...
glue has no problem filling any sized pot with roots quickly,it roots more massively than just about any other strain i have seen.

after I chop I can just grab the stem and pull the whole root ball out of the 5 gl pots, its all packed full.

Reading the numbers everyone is hitting
I average 2+ oz per gal of medium using coco. For example my last run, totally not dialed no nets handwatered way to hot everything against me aside from me lol I hit 4.5-5 oz off of every 2 gal plant I had even the sour dub gave me over 5 oz from 2 gal. I'm thinking many of u could leave in smaller pots for longer periods, especially the coco guys. Seems like a lot of dirt slangin at transplant time but then again it's been a min since I hit the dirt I may have forgot how shit works lol
I do know that making sure they are more rooted to the final pot will kill plenty of stretch and nodes are tighter with excess veg food first few weeks of bloom, with any strain I've ran, and that usually adds up to smaller containers with shorter and heavier plants.
After several runs with smart pots I've concluded they work no better for improved yield and I use more nutes n water cuz they dry fast. More expense and more expense. My plastic pots stand up better n I can drench the top n not have water spew out the sides n droppers can drown the top same way no leaking.
Anyway goin on a tangent my point was maybe a couple of u guys can try a smaller pot n let it establish just past what u think is right and flip see if u use less supplies n get more. Worth a shot on a light 1x
I read many time this out yields the dub majorly but not with what I see posted compared to my dub haul. I easily get 1.5 a bulb with dub og gsc any of those "lightweights" using small containers but granted its coco. But handwater 1x a day
What do u guys think?

I like my plastic pots more than the smart pots as well. Im not seeing a yield improvement I do see a denser root structure. They're not easy to clean as well. these have had about 10x use im going to ditch them for some new knock off air pots.

I have never come close to a lb from GSC Forum Cut..I can only fit 18 plants and some of those are not in the sweet spot for max light. I have never done a Mono Crop. I like variety

i dont have any trouble hitting 1.5 per light with my current methods and the sunshine mix recycles better into the outdoor veggie beds, personally i like the smart pots the best but i dont really have any data to back that feeling up,it is true that using a non breathable pot might cut my watering down but i like that the smart pots make it very hard to overwater a plant...
