just a guess....its in too small a pot,the plant is probably sucking up all the water to keep transpiring properly and thats throwing the soil pH/cec off because its getting salty...

you've checked for bugs ???? have you gone through the sick plant thread to see if you can figure out why those tops look like that ?
thats not a mag def , looks almost like tmv virus . are any of your other plants effected ?

Please let me reiterate my previous advice about scoping for Broads or Russets. That discolored top is looking even more like Hemp Russet Mites to me now. Go out and buy a loupe or someting today, don't order one. You needed 5 days ago. At least verify that it ISN'T Russets before you go chasing toxicity or deficiency Waterfalls.

I feel like i'm w/family ...thank U :comfort:

it's ok...i'm going to cull her & move on in good cheer...but i won't have new gg#4 to contribute

friends R good :dance013:& there is all of 2017 to look forward & enjoy!

i'm thinking/hoping it's viral & not broad/russet...for the life of me i can not detect a bug & not a single other plant in my multi strain room is looking remotely like this & they've all been under the same regime ... it's ok i'm good w/this turn i'll focus on some cross's

carry on all!:ying:

regardless you need to check for broads or russets because if there on the 4 there on others, be safe, we all should have a scope to check our plants with

So i found one piece of equipment i was missing and ordered two of them today..... I ordered a magnifier and a scope for the ipad...... I would rather have one and not need it than not to have one at all judging by those post....

Well it's something we should all own just to have a proper view of our trichomes, I always thought this was an essential piece of equipment and a must for all growers even if you never need it for any other reason.

I use them often. Even use a microscope to look for eggs.

Pop the plant out and smell it. If its got a strong sulfur order you got root rot. You can measure the run off see what the EC and ph is. I suspect u have a low ph with high ec. 100% LOCKED UP.

I have a bunch of these I take in the room to look at the plants. anything I think is suspect gets taken to the microscope.

Don't cull it yet!!! The following is tough love, don't take it the wrong way.

You have been THE BIGGEST cheerleader for GG4 recently in this thread as well as other threads on icmag. I know how much it means to you to have this cut in your stable. I know it has to crush you to have it acting up on you. By simply culling it you are throwing in the towel and passing up on a terrific learning opportunity.

(I post this all the time because it's awesome and often applicable)

Buy a scope, a proper scope. That magnifying glass will work in a pinch but you should have something that has 30x and 60x even better. If you have russet mites it's not the end of the world. Make sure you DON'T have them and then start working out what else it could be. Cuts don't magically dud out like you have bad grower joo joo or something. I've had her for 2.5 years now and have never experienced a dud. I HAVE had russets but have learned how to deal with them and get rid of them. You have a tremendous resource here (icmag and its members) at your disposal and we are willing and able to help you diagnose it. Think of it as a learning opportunity for everyone else here involved.

Once you have determined that you don't have a pest problem then you need to move on to the next thing, and then the next, until you can correctly determine what is going on. Then you address the problem, treat accordingly, and *poof* you have become a stronger more well rounded grower.

I can't speak for everyone but I'm here to help. Hugs and kisses and all that shit, now let's figure this out.

ok :cathug: i will do that who dat :ying: she still lives

Good to hear :good:

Now since Hemp Russet Mites are in the conversation lemme take the opportunity to post a thread a started regarding the product Green Cleaner and how to make your own for way cheaper. I've been mixing this up and using it here to get rid of them for me and it's been working. After using it I haven't seen any signs of them but I'm keeping up a strict IPM regimen for the time being and spraying it with every watering (ever 3 or 4 days depending)

I had broad mites about 6 months ago.

Russett damage looks more like nute burn.

the true measure of a grower isnt allowing a plant to grow. anyone can do that. its saving that plant when things get tough. its fighting for something you love.

speaking of which, has anyone had the glue throw nanners from a light leak? im dealing with a window ac that is leaking a dull bit of sun through blacked out Styrofoam. probably for a week now. currently day 54
