It’s pretty light tight. I have it in a room by itself, running two 1000w hps in it. And with the light in the room turned off, it’s pitch black in the room. So I imagine if I can’t see any orange glow from the outside, no way is any light getting in. You just won’t be able to use the intake screens. Those will let in/out light.

Do you have the extra rails for the back pressure I was reading about? So it won’t suck the sides of the tent in? I wasn’t sure if those were necessary

I was gonna get them, but with my 8” vortex fan (747cfm) sucking thru it, it doesn’t suck the sides in at all. Given I am using all 4 intake vent screens, so there is plenty of intake. I do recommend the gear rack though. It’s awesome.

Yeah I was looking at that to mount a fan from. Does it come with some sort of hangers that you attach your fan to it with and other accessories?

It doesn’t come with a way to hang stuff. You gotta get crafty. I used a toggle bolt to attach the fan mount hardware to the board. I then clipped off the excess bolt and put a piece of electrical tape over the cut part of the bolt in case it rubs on the tent. I probably don’t need the tape, but I’m not gonna risk accidentally cutting the tent with the sharp end of the bolt I cut off. Paranoia...it’s a side effect of cannabis use!

I'm not a tent grower but was looking online at 4 x 8 tents for veg room. I found a really nice tent called Galaxy at a place called Dealzer com it's made from the same 1680D material as gorilla, comes with side bars perfect for fans. looks to be a great tent for $305 with fedex ground shipping. They also have a make offer button, so you may be able to get a few bucks off it IDK.. Just throwing it out there

That’s awesome. I gotcha, I’m sure I can come up with a way. I’ll be thinking abt it. It’ll be after Christmas sometime before I do. I gotta get another 630 from a buddy first. It’s always something else! lol. I’m going to get that rack too. So I can put my cuts in trays on it. I’m going to try and have it setup after I harvest this next time. So the transition will be a Lil easier. I have a bunch of cleanup to do. Lol

Those clips are nice, I got a 50 pack of cane and they cane with it. So I ordered 2 more big packs of them. I’m currently in the market for a tent. Thinking abt gorrila tent 4x8. What do kind do y’all have and do you like it?

I ended up getting a Secret Jardin. They have a couple of models that give the most height you can use with an 8 ft ceiling. Their DR150 is 5x5x7.6' and their DR300w is 5x10x7.6'. I did a quick price check on the web for the 10x5 model and Grower's House had it listed for $559.

I think the Gorilla tents are sturdier in every respect but the SJ has not had any weakness problems for me, in the supports, fabric, floor or zippers. It has stayed light tight. I put my wife and son inside and zipped it up last tent clean. She started freaking out because it was total black, I then turned on the lights in my veg space that is 3 ft away from the tent door and she still saw no light.

Just depends what you're looking for. I opted for a little more space and height at a lower price (5x9 GG is around $700 from online grow shops and $775 from the manufacturer). That's $140+ I could use on other things.

I think VP and I are both happy with our choices.

That looks like a pretty good tent. It’s got most of the features of the Gorillas...without the price!

Cool! Thanks Onavelzy! That’s a great review for the jt. I’ll def check that out. I hope to be able to get one for veg soon after that. It’s not quite as pertinent as the flower tent though. That’ll free up so much space to do activities! Lol
