Here in the hills of Northern Jersey it's been dry for six days, really dry like Southern Ca. The nights are in the upper 40's low 50's and not great for tomato's, they need nights in the sixties to provide the best flavor. The dry weather is fab for for the burgeoning buds and like Stasis I do the morning search for Botrytis. I always lose about 15 to 20 percent to mold, its been planned for............

Sutra - In my area the only loss I get are from caterpillars. Once the caterpillars burrow and crap in the buds, then the mold starts. Do you have caterpillar issues as well, or just mold?

OOh, I'm familiar with caterpillars. I use BT to control them and they are not too much of a threat. I'm going for a last application this morning.

High Pressure system over New England has been great the last few days. Clear, dry and hot... and no wind to blow over tall girls. Looking like we will get a change up soon.

Isaac wasn't that bad for me, although he did knock everything down and cause some minor losses.

Looking forward to 2 more weeks of dry clear weather to start the real drive to the finish line.. the shorter days will produce larger buds ( I can almost hear the weather man saying that)

looks like the rest of September is going to be lower then normal temps, then back to a warm and dry October.

The weather has not been good this year at all.

I've been noticing that vegetation has been dying off. Tall grass was first, now a few species of trees have leaves dying and falling off. I water everyday but I don't think the vegetation is going to hold its green as good as years before :( what a bummer!!!

50mph winds right now in New England... *gulp*

Rained hard for a while this morning, but right now it is just a wind storm. I guess Im happy they aren't totally soaked and getting hit by the wind, the added weight would be doubly bad. Of course my grow is 1 hour from where I live... so maybe better maybe worse.

Im sitting in my office at home doing work and the wind is whipping the trees outside against my windows. This is making me pale. Not a happy camper at the moment.

Seriously considering a nighttime run to the spot to make sure everything is staying tied up and safe through this weather. At least they got wet before the wind, so the roots and soil are heavy giving them a little extra ballast..

wouldn't be fun if there wasn't risk (I keep telling myself)

Already having two frost warnings this current week so Record Breaking Drought Heatwave and now Frost way ahead of schedule pretty much sums up this outdoor season

things are calm in my neighborhood this morning, and it sounds dry outside, or at least not currently raining. Looking like cool temps with small chances of rain for the next 10 day forecast. Im okay with cool weather, but a few more days in the 70s would be good. Its there in the forecast, hope it happens.

Hey Axl, we must be neighbors, lol......... Both descriptions of the last few days of weather are spot on for my NE locale.

Harvested some Ducks over the weekend, will do more the upcoming sat/sun as well. This crazy heat has caused one of my purple OD strains to start flowering extremely late; usually I could chop it at the same time as my duckfoot, but this year it looks like what an 11 week Sativa would look like on Sept 20th.

Strange

Hell of a storm last evening/night. 50-60 mph winds and an outrageous amount of rain, just checked my gauge says 2.3". In spite of it all the girls remain standing.

We got some of the wind storm here. I haven't had a chance to check the girls yet, but the damn thing almost ruined my drying area, blew the fan over and all the sugar trim onto the floor :frown: I salvaged most, though. The buds ended up being fine.

weather

here in the north been rainy, rainy pretty cold and windy i guess pretty normal for the time of year the salmon are running and the deer moving around can really feel fall setting in. looking out my window there is trees in full colors and the trees around them starting to go. I love this time of year just could live without the cold rainy days just not a fan of that part. ever since i got hurt I dont get out and about as much so I get cold but with cold you can put on layers so I guess better then 100 degree weather. lol I guess give ya something to complain about. I do know took down mau freasa and a blue godxpurt t about a week early and oh my is that some awesome medicine for sure. it was taken because of the rainy weather didnt want to take the chance of mold. Wow that something never had problems with knock on wood is Caterpillars thank god, just damn slugs in spring and early summer but after learning my lesson once with those slime ball i use sluggo and solved that problem.
