Craven's right, find a friend to hook up the delivery service. Used to be 60$ for a 2.2gram cube of some of the dankest herb I've ever seen still to this day. Dude used to roll by with 5+ different strains and a couple of different types of imported hash all labeled and sealed.

my bus is leaving soon I am taking some places down

to answer you cravenmore, I don't feel comfortable looking for something like that in that city

if it finds me, alright, but even then.. I don't want to be paranoid, just enjoy

I'm not going for a long time, smoking can wait :)

Did NYE in time square...be prepared to freeze your ass off, your legs are going to go numb from standing in the same space for so long.

The earlier you get there the better the spot is. The cops are not that bad, just dont be belligerent. As far as weed, don't buy it there, bring it with you if you want to smoke(YOU DO!). Im not a big drinker but I got drunk as can be and glad I did because it was below freezing that night and the wind was blowing pretty hard, alcohol kept me warm.

NYE in Time Square is fun, you meet all sorts of people in there and have a good time. There were joints going around and bottles going around and people singing and just having a good time.

HAVE FUN! :D

thanks guys

I am all settled now

I had a little tour the city today by car, then got home, ate a nice supper, took a nap

then went out to get to know the area

tomorrow I plan to go to central park, walk around manhattan
I am gonna be taking the subway

someone said that you have to pay to get to time square on nye ? how much ?

I'm happy that I came here

I am very fortunate to have a roof free of charge and my uncle is a cool, intelligent guy

it's actually the first time I met him (from what I remember)

I didn't come only for new years, it was a chance to get away, relax, have fun, experience nyc (I came here when I was very young. so I don't remember)

I come from a very small town

So on my list of things to do/check out :

Walk around Manhattan
Central Park
Metropolitan museum of art
Statue of liberty
Brooklyn bridge
Empire state building

I might go check out some show or something, maybe a comedy show

as for food, I have written some places that you guys mentionned
(thanks s4l, wasnt me, and everyone else)

it's sort of surreal to be here

Have fun. It has been a while since I have been to NYC. This March will have been two years since I have been there. I would love to go to Times Square for NYE! Last time one of my friends and I went to Times Square for NYE he got so drunk that he started a lot of trouble and ended up picking a fight with a police officer. Needless to say I had to figure out where the police station was just so I could get his ass out of there once he got arraigned.

museum of natural history and the intrepid air space museum are good spots to hit up if you have the time.

have fun and be safe, times square can get crazy when the clock strikes 12, its alot more intense(fights, bottles flying, cops arresting people) on the ground than it is on tv. then again as a nyer i havent been to times square on nye since 93'. the city is alot more tame now than it was then. also clubs and bars will fill up fast, make reservations.

edit to add while your in coney island to get your nathans get a knish too

The Planetarium shows at the Hayden Planetarium in the American Natural History Museum is a great time. 81st and Central Park West.

Brooklyn bridge --- take the 6 train to City Hall and walk the bridge (if not the whole thing walk at least to the center and back) It really is an amazing bridge... design, construction, the story behind it.

Expect a long line at Battery Park to get on the Statue of Liberty boats to liberty Island. If you don't have the time to actually go you can still get a great view from the Staten Island Ferry.... just take a round trip. It's a quicker option :)

Central Park .... there are lots of sculptures throughout the park. One of my favorites is the Alice in Wonderland Statue...
alice.jpg

check out centralpark.com for info.... do NOT eat in the restaurants inside central park, complete tourist traps and shit food.

Speaking of Food again..... any restaurant has a mandatory health inspection rating posted in the window. look for the Letter "A" for a good grade from the inspector....

no admission fees to get into Times Square just a lot of security an no tolerance for BS. When they, the cops, close an area off you will not be let back in if you leave, i.e no leaving to find a toilet. Here is the TS website and their timeline on what to expect.... http://www.timessquarenyc.org/events/new-years-eve/nye-schedule/index.aspx explore the site and you will find who is performing on what stage..etc.

most importantly, have fun. Everyone experiences NYC in their own way. So just soak in what you can, wear comfortable shoes, take pics, take time to make pit stops and relax, eat lots of small things so you can try more, talk to people and experience everything you can .... take back with you some great memories.

good luck

I will ^

thanks :)

today I took the subway to manhattan, went to central park, took some pictures, hanged out

there was a real cool guy there, working for the city maintaining the park
wouldn't be surprised if he smoked he told me went to amsterdam but I didn't feel like asking

a seriously cool guy

I spent a couple hours there, then walked a bit through times square

man there was a lot of people, it sort of got me irritated (I guess I might have been getting tired and hungry), people don't watch where they're going, one giant guy rammed into me and didn't even apologize

what an asshole !

Probably, I was a daily smoker, and when I stop like that I do get a little bit irritable from time to time.

If I rammed into you hard, and didn't apologize, i'm sure you would have been a bit frustrated too.

I forgave the guy, and wish him well :)
(It took some time to forgive him though)

I saw that statue of alice today, there was like 10 kids on it.

I'm gonna try going to nathan's tomorrow.

I am feeling grateful, things can always be worse !
