same's going on here 2LC,
weather warms
humidity starts to rise and all those borderline aroma's stampede over the border!

I know I'll miss or screw something up. Not sure what just yet though or I'd fix it ahead of time...

You'll get a chuckle out of this one.... I made cookies the other day (Bubblegum TGA), didn't wash the budder really well and left the dough 'blond', and added chocolate chips.

I get them all done and have them stacked on a platter to finish cooling. 85 2" cookies, sitting there green as a gourd.

It struck me that they would make a heck of a party for 85 Irishmen on Paddy's Day. Being elevated as I was at the time, I just about split a gut laughing at the idea.:laughing::laughing:

Testing revealed that one (at least for me), is a great plenty! So the number stayed at 85.

damn exciting 1st run!

damn exciting 1st run!

well the 1st run in the new room was quite a ride,
really strange going in there this morning for the final scraps
it's so quiet you can hear a pin drop :kitty:
picture.php

I'll post a few more choice nug pics when everything's dried and bagged and give a final tally on what this room yielded on the 1st run.
even tho 70%+ of the room was from seed I have a quite a few 200+gram plants that are keeper status and one is definitely going to top well over 300g

the big yielders from seed were
CSG strawberry dogshit
and
Mosca's
C99BX1-OT x IBG and OT x Chem4 crosses
these were the big producers so far and test so far have Mosca's gear as A+ for most of his gear
in taste, potency, quality of buzz and yield.

i haven't tested the strawdogs recently but @30 days 5 from 7 were knock outs and @42 days all but but 1 rocked keeper status in potency but I expected A+ pheno's in that crowd given the lineage, KKSC x OG Chem,
and the strawdogs sported the 300+g heavy weight pheno#9

there's still the KQK x secret recipe crosse I made that had some of the largest cola's in the room
still on the drying rack + exicited to to see what comes from these ladies

Awesome thread! Care to share final cost? It's gotta be a lot!
Can you point me to a thread or elaborate more on using the water heater? And what all I'll need to use it. I building a 12x8 I split into an 8x8. A 6x4 and entry way. I'm still undecided if I want to seal it or not, and this idea has me very intrigued.

TOO MUCH:D

seriously, I'd have to add it up,
a few things I bought up to a year before I started the build in sept/13 when they were on a red hot sale, like my mini split
i had some off the hoods and ballasts and other stuff already

just off the top of my head,
at least $8,000 and more like $10,000
i did a quick take on the weight yesterday,
and my 1st preliminary haul is gonna be over 10bows
:woohoo:
sooooo, looks like after costs of the room I'll have a little jingle left in pocket :smoke:

this 1st run i had so much in the room from seed,
so lots of unknowns with the plants and what they would produce and how potent etc etc
so i was hoping to at least break 8-10lbs the 1st run,
which isn't a lot considering what this room is capable of doing

looking at my strains I have to work with now with the next run ,
they the keepers i had and new ones from this gro that are putting out 200+grams each.
I'm confident i can hit 15lbs or very close to it in the next few runs.

Nice room...hard work pays off....You could crush with some lights vert for sure in that space...:ying::biggrin:

thats a consideration for sure,
i just wanted to do what i know and not get fancy 1st few grows and make sure i get some funds.
there was a learning curve I knew i had to master going sealed for my 1st time
and i had the probs heaped on me early in veg,
RH to hi then Rh too low and VPD as a result
and the balancing act that enuses making sure temps rh co2 all work together.
once you think you have it the plants have grown just nuff in 10 days that the room dynamics are off again
from added transpiration rates from the plants being bigger.,
i learned quick the gro room is in constant flux

so on top of that i didn't need to be trying to master some new style of growing.th
is room was a make it or or go down in flames in financial terms.

there's so many styles of growing this room will let me do I'm like a kid candy store for the 1st time... so many optons!
I'd like to move into coco soon, and vert sounds very enticing

^^^

That's smart, Gnome, particularly from a commercial standpoint. Build on what you know, establish a groove. Better results are always better, but you're really looking for the point of diminished returns. The perfect can be the enemy of the good.

exactly jhhnn,
just like building a new house,
you make sure you have a solid foundation 1st
because everything else is built upon that.

dickcorn,
sooo many times people going sealed w/co2 for the 1st time always have 1 regret.
they wish they would've done it sooner!
that is my only regret after my 1st harvest :smoke:

The build becomes an obsession... I love it. Will probably miss the build days sometime, many years from now....

the gnome, your build is awesome. I have seen that you have offered advice to main people building out their rooms. Look forward to implementing some of your ideas soon. Love the foam walls
