It's only glow in the dark when under a blacklite. Good for tracking, wonder if it would taste different. I looked into this myself ages ago. It was bound to happen I agree Tony

If someone grew some glow in the dark weed, photographed it , then posted it on icmag...I'd look at it. I don't know that I have enough spare time consider it as anything more than a novelty. It would be a cool addition to some stoners black lit bedroom, right under the pink Floyd poster.

Sounds dope. Not sure If I'd be down to smoke it. I'm curious what would happen if u smoke it. Will the smoke glow? That might be the best part of the show lol. What if it's like synthetic weed n starts making u trip out. For photo reasons that sounds cool but lil to scary for me to try. Glowing Brownies?

What is the worst that can happen? An extra limb here and there sounds like a balling time. ;)

and people where bitching about the bastardization of cannabis genes before this. One day people will be like "remember the days when you when hermies and broads where the only thing you had to worry about"

If the plant is glowing in the dark, won't that cause issues with photoperiod?
Glow in the dark weed is something we don't need. Why would we need it?There's only one situation where I can imagine luminous herb would be an advantage, which would be packing a bowl in the dark and dropping your stash..otherwise,I see no positives associated with glow in the dark cannabis.

I found a spot that sells marine DNA and bacteria vector that is actually bio luminescent not fluorescent like this kit they are selling.

ha!

It looks like you could possible swap the marine bio luminescense dna they sell elsewhere with the one the kit uses pretty easy. Then the shit would produce its own glow. Both use bacteria as the vector ha!

couple hundo and a technical hand is all it takes these days...

It's fun to think about genetics and DNA there is a great simulation on youtube how it spins/snaps...brilliant technology really...ever heard of panspermia? You can trace all dna back to a single source. LUCA. Some scientists think dna was synthesized and sent here.

Lets just say that it was? Wouldnt it want to be messed with by default? I think theres something going on here. Far beyond my capacity to understand.

Glow on.

You think one could get to a point where you could have the plant "glow" under certain conditions, say if it were under attack? Or a male? Like Sting kinda shit

Cool. Didn't know they had the input for luminescence. That's pretty cool. Wonder how bright it would be. Fuk it man do it. World first.... tracking and branding like the way they use it with fish is interesting

I think they use jellyfish dna to make things glow.
In china they make cats glow in the dark. it's hard to lose that cat. haha!
good luck hiding your plants outdoors from rippers or cops!

I'm down with a glow in the dark cat as long as it's still snuggly:huggg:

Maybe? Does green light affect plants? Is it going to be strong enough to cause a response, guess we'll never know till we try ha!

Pretty sure it doesn't.... They reflect green light, that's why they look green. I remember the science lesson at school many years ago- growing plants under different colour light, and they don't grow under green light..... Unless it's a red leaved plant, I think
