If you notice I do a major upgrade every time I harvest... Ill have a twin room on the other side of the work area and Double what I have now.... With all the above mentioned upgrades... I am actively on a mission to build out the DanPlan... And ill have 4 just like this one... That's 4 veg in rooms... Going the fuck off... The last two rooms will have 3 additional plants slightly larger to hold 3 4x4 Drain Trays... Those will also have 4 hlg550v2 in them.... Lol how's that for overkill.... DIRFT.... Means Do it right the first time....

I have two 8 cree 3500K 3590 cob lights. This is a Sour Dubb leaf under one of the cree 8 cob lights. The plants love them. The leaf is on a 8x11 piece of paper.

I run a few hlg550 v2s and I would agree that 4x4 is a stretch but they certainly grow great flowers with 480 Watts. Super simple and they run pretty cool and are easy to get with real customer service. The fact that the cxb3590s are still respected says a lot though. They have been around for a bit. I would like to see a passively cooled 12 cxb3590 light for less than the hlg550. It’s really about making your canopy fit right under the lights you choose.

Well I forgot to mention.... I won't be paying full price... So ill be running 3 per room.... Each will be responsible for a 3.5 foot width... Remember I don't run 3 4x4 trays I run 2 and a 2x4... 3 will cover and fill my space... With all the upgrades on the lights... I simply can't get another fixture anywhere as powerfully for the price.... I'm getting a hook up That's extremely hard to beat....

I got my far red led ordered. Hopefully it cuts some time off my flower cycle. I have a rental inspection around harvest time, this round.

Yeah yields will go down but there are other considerations that the math misses, like summer in Florida. It’s all dependent on what the limiting factor is, power usage, available space, ac, time, market... The hlgs will be good, purchasing a bunch myself, but those 1k hps double ended are hard to beat in a good reflector especially if you can run several rows. Next to each other they will cover 6 feet wide each so it really depends on the canopy size and shape. Best of luck.

The summer heat will increase your numbers by about 4 miles...monthly July power bill was about 900... I also have lights on 24/7....

We all might be weird but certainly you understand there are lots and lots of variables that don’t fit in simple equations: humidity, construction type, Florida, room size, r-values, dehumidifier, sun exposure, ceiling height, humidity, power bills that make you nervous, Florida, available space, ability to cool year round, it’s not all about numbers etc.

Honestly, I don’t know anyone on this site but from what I can tell aspen has pretty much decided based on advice she trusts in what could be an opportunity to expand the number of plants she can flower and still keep things “cool”.

That being said I would like to hear what lights you run.
