So i love some wax and would be having this conversation with a wax master if he would reply to my messages..... Hummm.... Yall dont worry i got something for him.... lol....
Anyway... I dont like domed nails of any sort.... Domeless Ti, Ceramic and Quartz.... i have all 3 but hate how fast they cool off with a torch... i have big torches and can have them all cherry red and glowing in about 25 seconds.... then comes out the heat gun laser thing to tell the temps...
Now i have 2 e-nails and the SUBLIMATOR... now the SUB is in fact the end all be all as far as vapor tech goes and worthy of its own conversation.... It simply gets no better... at any temp... with any other device... PERIOD... so were not talking about that.... Its big and mine is normally hot...with the exception of the fucking drought...lol... so it hasn't left that table... No an e nail on the boat is the way to go... And one in the shop... i have 5 regular power outlets and a huge inverter on the boat... i dont want a pen or anything like that... just doesn't seem as social as a Dab Rig... A small one of coarse...
Let's take a second to talk about enail temps for different effect of the same wax AKA BHO or rosin.... And how different temps get you differing effects as far as the hit being gassy light and tasty as opposed to say milky white and solid.... What temps do yall like? and what kind of hit?

no your not Mr Bungle ...low temp dabs make me cough ...on the flip side if it's too hot some of the wax actually burns away and U lose that, also hot vapor is not comfortable to inhale, so U have to find the perfect temp that works ideally for your rig ...dabbing is an art ... my method is to heat up my quartz banger till it's slighty red, i'll have my glass dabber already loaded up with a hit , then i sort of swirl it around in the banger without touching the edge till the wax melts and drops into the glass ...it's awsome ...

I used to do dabs with a cherry red nail. Just about every hit was a death stroke. Cough, and cough and cough. Then I saw a video or read about someone heating the nail to cherry red and then letting it cool down. Just after the red glow goes away, that's when I do my dabs now.
Much smoother, and tastier, now. Before pretty much all my BHO had the same generic taste, and I often make variety specific batches of BHO. I still just just as high. But now very rarely regret doing a dab. I'm actually gonna go do one now, lol.

Im surprised you dont have an e nail really.... the constant temps make the dabs better...
