at 8 years old & if theres a rack on the back for her to hold onto or to hold her in place .... then have at it ! if not , get some type of back rest or grab handles for her to be able to hold onto .
i had my 4 year old grandson on the back of mine for a short ride , but i've got the tour pack & backrest on mine .

View Image

Mine is a little more nimble.... I have the backrest ordered and a seat pad that locks on and has a real handle to hold on to....I have to move the rear pegs all the way up... I need to give this one some thought....

And UNC.... Babe we gotta talk bikes.... Kids Bikes... good ones...
find a bike shop you like, thats more important than any particular brand...a good shop will fit her properly to the bike, and generally you get a year of free maintenance as well...a shop will also be able to tell you about any local kid oriented clubs or races...

no walmart bikes...they are crap assembled by people who dont know crap about bikes...

the bigger brands like trek,specialized,giant....they will have kid specific frames...they dont need to be fancy for kids, durable is best...

Well she has already Seen sustained speeds in the boat of 77 Mph with about 6 to 7 footers going in every direction... I can drive the crap outta that boat.... Those engines will flat out scream across the water.... And there is 3 of them on it...

77 kek. He sees about 14 knots on a 45' marine management... takes her about 3 hours with sustained winds to and she might break 15. BUT she will do every bit of 14 with almost 2200 traps aboard. The mullet skiff is another story, but he's not allowed on there.... something about 9" of draft and flat bottom and f300 Yamaha and being dangerous... I dunno...

 if she got through that & was fine ..... a ride on the bike is a cake walk lol
unless your a speed demon lol

People dont realise how fast that is on the water..... Ill catch and pass the big 60 and 70 footer fishing boats every time.... In my little weird boat... Always with a finger in the air of coarse.... They fucking hate this new boat.... In the old boat i could catch them and keep up.... but never pass them but at 77 in this monster.... I eat those guys alive in the speed department.... and i can run faster in much worse water than they can..... on the water as fast as i can go all the damn time... My Idea of safe speeds on the water seem to differ..... alot....from others....hehehe

i drove some fast skiffs up in alaska, but nothing that fast!

far too dangerous where i was....28 foot tidal range....even on a flat calm day theres just too much risk of hitting a snag...and you had to really know where you were going and what effect the tide would have on that spot...plus the water is like 40 degrees...just too cold for mucking around...and also not generally polite to run someone elses 1/4 million dollar boat flat out...

Yeah I ran an amazing 26' skiff in Alaska for salmon runs. Tide ranges are fucking crazy compared to my 5-6'! I popped a hull off of an old Thornton skiff a few years ago (old cocaine cowboy era mold). Stories from people in the know say the thortons could run with 10,000 lbs between 55 and 60 on glass

dont spend a ton on the first bike is what i would say, wait and see if it gets ridden...but that said,a good bike that functions properly will get ridden more than something that doesnt shift right...and keep it simple, having a bunch of shifters and what not to deal with can put some kids off...

Yea... when the owner got the last boat he told me to keep the hammer down at every opportunity without fail.... We are the only two people that do long range diving around here we have made 120- 150 mile dive runs on a routine basis...We know all the good spots.... we even hit up the oil rigs in LA a few times in the old boat.....When he got this one we were told to beat the fuck out of it and try and break it..... Its not a hard owner to get along with... 3 557 HP engines we may do just that.... this is a catamaran with vented hulls... race hulls kinda....

And to see and hear all the awesome people on here that adore you.Not to mention that little one that's hanging on tight to you. She's got a good one in you. I will be around as often as I can to help but more like gain knowledge from you and all here. Just remember what David Crosby of Crosby,Stills and Nash wrote in his song Long Time Gone, "The darkest hour is always, always just before the dawn." Peace and good luck on your new adventure.
