I dont get cookies at all..
I cant help but wonder if the hype is just partly because the durban is so resilient to bud rot so its worked out well for all the loud mouthed kiddies.. I mean its ok and its got some great traits in the right hands but its nothing special or worth writing home about for me.
Sadly GSC has pretty much ruined the illegal market here as well.. if i run out now im fucked as all you can get here is hydro 7 week cut cookie crosses..
Bah had to vent as the addition of cookies into this game has done nothing for me and wish it had stayed in Maine..

So I don't know what to expect.
I do notice some things, she lagged in veg and then strecthed like a b*. The bud development is also slow. I don't think she'll be a big yielder.
But she's resin covered as dipped in sugar. I hope the smoke will be good.
I'm in week 5 of flower now. I hope she packs on some more weight.
I haven't made my mind about GSC. I hope she can still impress.

Ill be honest im slagging of GSC a bit but ive not smoked a great example of it pure yet, just a load of crosses, some in holland some by me.. dosidos doesnt impress me that much either considering the popularity.. favourite thing ive smoked with it in was bodhis more cowbell but i wouldnt run it again because of relatively low yield albeit resin encrusted.. only my opinion i hope you adore your gsc cvh 
I have no problem sacrificing yield over quality. But then the end result needs atleast to be something special.

Buds are dense looking, but for me personally that might mean she might lean more towards an Indica high. I prefer more a Sativa dominant high with just enough Indica in it to have a body effect too.

I've just cut the Blimburn version which is a fem cross with green crack - a freebie I tossed in to see what the hype was about. Dunno how close it is genetically but it's a tiny budding plant whose flowers look very similar to those I see on here.
Not smoked her yet but so far I'm not impressed I'm afraid. I grow to have bud to smoke when I need it and I don't feel like risking my safety and freedom for a low yield even if it does smell amazing.
Which the blimburn version doesn't. Seriously, very little smell at all.
The only way I'd countenance low yields is in a trade off for amazing high. But I've smoke loads of crosses and hacked cookies lately and none of them really make me sit up and take notice. Just a bog standard high that's pretty short lived.
I feel like this is a result of legal markets. In places where it's still illegal, people grow for the high and weight. You want a product you can sell easily that also makes you money. But with a legal market and dispensary system where loads of new smokers are coming to try something out, the chance to draw smokers in with new flavours etc is what's going to make your product stand out. You've also got the fact that those newer smokers often want an easy going, non racy high, like a session beer, over a 3 hour sativa rollercoaster.
It's actually a lot like booze I think, where I'm one of the old farts drinking real ale and Italian red whilst the kids knock back sticky sweet shots and flavoured beers.
The problem for me isn't the popularity of it per se, more that every seed bank is pushing cookies and crosses and some are now dropping their older strains and reg lines - bad news for anyone that wants to breed or find the next grail.
Oh , also, it herms easily (thankfully not on me it didn't) so that's enough reason to pass I think.

Don't get me wrong GSC is a killer cut. when she 1st hit the scene she was loved by many. Some still do. Its obvious how much by all the out crosses that got made. She was a cut that was grown for head stash and breeding. Some tried to go the commercial route with her but she couldn't keep up with the cash croppers. Lots of people have gotten spoiled with so many different options to choose from. Not many are choosing GSC from menus any longer. There's no doubt GSC will be one of those cuts that will never be forgotten. Her genetics live on in many crosses.
Dosido just like any other from seed depends on which pheno u find. I grow the green line cut. Still small yields but pretty potent and useful in breeding projects. Doesn't matter what your growing. If not grown well anything can turn to boof.

I'm not a breeder or a high end cash cropper. I just like good weed and forum gsc is that to a t. I hardly ever pull a banana off these forums and if I do it's because I messed up. Here'sI chopped at 62 under a cmh

Ive currently got the thin mint cookies aka jigga cut here in the uk...
Personally never been a fan of cookies but i also have the gelato#45 cut which is gsc x sunset sherbet/fuel pheno and while she is gassy her aroma when burning100% stinks of floral baked cookies and i rate her better than this thin mint cut.
Ive noticed that this cookie cut doesnt really need nitrogen she would prefer 1/2 ratio n in veg
Ive flipped her to full bloom nutes @ 2.0 ec ph 5.8 right from the start of 12/12 and completley dropped her n just to see if it has an impact on her stretch... ive not took any cuts as im running this lady out.... thats an 8" filter in case you were wondering lol

The gelato#45 is waaaaaay better than this thin mint jigga cut in every department and the gelato#45 was the weakest plant in my rotation...
