i just dont understand the "5 growers only" rule. so that makes powers, flux, jigga, sherbinski for the first 4 slots, and most likely one of their other homies for the 5th.

and the 1000 fee is just for the consumer/judges, which seems backwards too. they could probably charge 1000 for growers to submit just like high times.

i dont know, just not with it. and when you see most of the kids who are talking about buying tickets to go, id rather not hang out with most of that crowd lol…..talk about the term "ratchet", a bunch of lean sipping bhotards paying 1k to judge flowers.

Now all of these small time local competitions is a different story. In MI, one dude has placed 18 times in the last 3 years. However, he also entered 22 samples in one competition, and paid $1500 to be on the cover of the publication holding the event. It's just a money grab, but it's amateur. At least HT is a professional money grab, for real amounts of money.

The only transparent competition that exists is ICmag 4/20 cup. Having the voting electronically calculated and open to everyone to view on the Internet is the way to go.

Wow, 22 entry's, in one event is crazy.

it my be transparent but after seeing what that one guy voted on the gg4 its still far from perfect. I know theres those that will say I am biased and I am but seeing all the other votes and then one guys votes were so low on every category I have to say it was sandbagged.

Some people have high standards, or whatever.
I did try that sample of GG#4 and also guessed it was glue on appearance alone. I scored it average points as that sample was not the best.

The good thing about the transparent voting is that you can pull up the judges afterwards and get them to explain there scores.

Yeah mack, it is. That's what happens when you don't cap the entry amount, only charge $80 per entry and only need 7g of flowers to enter.

It becomes a much more fair competition when you really gotta believe in what you're entering and put your $ behind it.

This is the same shit i tell to all the cry babies who bitch about the price to compete in the HT Cup...

^nice!! outdoor cookies puts on some really nice color almost identical to cherry pie, which further makes me believe the original CP x OG story for GSC…but i dont want to open that whole debate up again.

but seriously in 2006-2008 when GSC first hit the scene and was going for 4400 a LB and was barely attainable, everybody including berner himself was telling people it was Cherry Pie x OG…..this whole durban f1 story didn't come up until like 2012.

lol…..but what do i know?

I loved the pcg cut.
Very velvety with crystals.
Turned a nice hue of purple.

Exactly what i wanted when i set out to grow GSC. :)

in my opinion pcg cut is good but forum tastes a lot tangier and a little better overall. They both smoke really nice and are very close in taste though.

From pics, it appears that forum yields more than pcg (platinum).
If I had the choice, I would prob try out animal next (and/or forum).

Good luck d3,
