okay im jsut gonna stop the debate because its senseless... there isnt enough evidence to say she yields one way or another... maybe you hit her too hard, and thats why she stopped growin herb at day 36....to me that makes no sense.... any flower that stops growin at 36 might be shocked... i ahvent had ANY experience with her, its just my understanding that any plant has infinite potential....
what is yield exactly? and how do you compare it? how much ONE Plant yields against another? But not every strain wants to be flipped at a certain height....and some strains need longer veg time....throw a sourbubble outside in mid june, and a sour diesel in mid june....your gonna get more off the diesel of course! so if we are talkin about the actual comparison with time....than yes, maybe the GSC doesn't yield as much as others....but IMHO that doesnt count for crop yield...it counts for commercial production -
maybe she requires a formula that is different to what people have been giving her?
has anyone grown her in DWC to see how she responds? or bubble buckets? or a 200 gal outdoor plant? Let's see it,
Ive got a plant that is in a three gallon that is bigger than one in a 65 gallon....the 65 gallon plant (chemDaze) is a "huge yielder" but i am going to get more off the three gallon sicne she rooted into the ground and is being fed by mother earth and subirrigated...the 3 gallon plant is literally 7 foot by 7 foot...id behappy to show pics if needed... they were planted 2 weeks apart and the chem daze was first...actually the chem daze was a mom and the 3 gallon was a F1 clone from my parent stock (bbhb x ecsd) - the chem daze was bigger when planted but the 3 gallon outgrew it by far because of the seasonal timing (i.e. moon phase).
there is so much to say about yield that i think its like arguing about politics.
and from GetMO's picture it looks like a micro def. or a lockout, with the twisting leafs...so maybe she doesnt handle nutes as well as others causing a lower yield...? and loks maybe a lil bit overdone on Nitrogen, which would make sense since Durban is a low nitrogen feeder, but still requires it at lower ppm. and cali connects OG can handle hella lot more nutes than most...ive seen people slam the shit....still comes out decent... other strains tweak with too many nutes.....
also how come when the "elite-clone-only" OG came out people werent getting shit off of it but around 3/4lb a 1000w, and then the kids in the valley started dialing it and started to pull @ least 1.5 per 1000w. They DOUBLED the yield, by topping it at the right moment and flipping it at the right size, while dialing in the nutes.. people said the Erkle wasnt a yielder but ive seen people pull Soda Cans of it....32 plants a light...lol -- 2lbs/1000w....so again its just hard to say without trying everymethod first?
i really dont wanna argue with anyone, (and i have no room to argue about the GSC, since Ive never grown her) and thats not the purpose of my statement(s) - just trying to enlighten and offer some different views and aspects, there are many ways to skin a cat.... I don't want to offend anybodies sensitive ego, I am just merely stating an opinion...

If I can pull 7 1/2 lb's off of 3k with Pure Kush...
AND regularly pulled 1/2 -3/4 lb plants in 3 gallon coco pots....
And this bitch wont yield? Its the plant....
You have some of THE MOST SKILLED people of this whole site, growing GSC, and NOT ONE person can get good yields....
Plain And Simple, she is an EXTREMELY low yielding strain, no way around it...

but did u grow them the same? which Pure Kush? different varietals of heirloom Tomatoes like different things....and wanna be grown different, maybe she doesnt wanna be in 3 gal pots...and that big, maybe she wants to be popcorned SOG style.... i grew sour dubble outside few years back(which was said to be a low yielder) and got 2.5 lbs a plant off of her - compared to the SourD i had, which got 3 lbs .... the strain hasnt been out long enough IMO to have gone thru the hoops to say it doesnt yield yet....give it one more year....TO IMPOSE LIMITATIONS ON A LIVING THING IS BEYOND MY COMPREHENSION. but for now...to end the arguement

No egos getting hurt, just stating facts. I know 6 people besides myself that have grown her and ALL of them are impeccable growers, not one of us hit more than 1.5. And that's with many different, but dialed environments. Only way I could see her getting to 2, is maybe with vert MAYBE.

You know me Prophet.....come outta the shadows with some dank that can win a cup status ....I'm back on track and running full-steam ahead and I already know 3 weeks in that she ain't gonna push any huge yields....stretch has stopped and I CANNOT believe how much more I could have trained these ladies...like you guys all said, stretch, stretch, stretch.....I was ready with train, train, train.....but FUCK! She just kept reeeeaching day after day...I let 'em go for a couple KEY days in the stretch/development around days 14-16 and really missed the window to push her yield further via LST....can't wait to really wrestle with the GSC next run. I've never seen a plant, next to C99 (F2's), that you can literally train every other day for the first three weeks of flowering....I feel this is one of the areas that can be exploited to help bump her up....because in the end, she really is an atrocious yielder if left to her own devices.

I'm running her in my 3200 kw vert stadium BUT I did not veg her long enough OR top her enough...I KNOW already I won't get the yield The Strawberry ChemD I run will get..not even fucking close...that StrawChemD is a monster yielder
