I'm chillin man....just got tired of all the BS in here. I dont got time for it were all busy as shit and to have to sift through a whole page to find a productive post is a PITA. Like i said it sounds like fucking amateur hour. People giving out neg rep for absolutely no reason etc..people with SCARFACE AVATARS making fucking THREATS? Over the Internet? LOL WTF is up with that?
Anyways....My side by side is about 4 weeks in and things are looking REAL good. Bottom line: Regardless of the cut you have you can't go wrong it's all stupid fire. It just seems For every 1 legit post there's 10 fuckers that want to chime in with some bullshit. It's not even worth my time to go out of my way and coordinate my veg room to do a side by side for the masses when the thread is so polluted.
The OGKB def yields more and seems to be more bulbous/bubbly/ have huge calyxes. While the forum cut stretches and is very OG dominant the OGKB barely stretches and looks more like an indica. Plants are shorter and bushier. Without proper pruning you will get lardier buds. Not like the forum cut where everything on the vine is nice rock hard dank nuggetry.
I can definitively say with all the experience i have with her (the OGKB) The leaf mutation is permanent. She doesn't just grow out of it. My mothers are easily 7-8 months old and still have the mutant leaves. I have gone through tons of cuts off these moms and no leaf changes In The offspring whatsoever. Some have been vegged for months and still no change. My first batch of her went over 70 days but In reality this OGKB can Easily be chopped anytime after 49 as my second and third batches went 49 and 55 and were still very impressive.
Basically don't lie to yourselves people! If your getting some cuts labeled "GSC" Either your getting the OGKB mutated leaf cut or your getting the OG dominant tall and lanky forum Cut. If theyre not either of these your on your own and your gonna have to grow her out and verify it yourself. I'm not saying it's not possible that there's other cuts floating around. What I am saying is they have yet to be verified.
Besides that All i can say is Soon there will a bunch of crosses made with the OGKB. There's already a couple beans being germed but of course they need to go through some test runs. I'm in no rush so when it happens it happens. Im not here to sell anything rather just further expand on this ladys genetic potential and see what comes from the crosses. Sourcing some of the pollen I'd want to use is a whole nother job in itself. For now I know my boy is crossing a bunch of rare dankness gear to the OGKB and there's def more to come as I know he's got a freezer full of pollen he needs to sort through.
It's a slow process as my friend is anal as shit and I usually just let him do the testing and have him give me the verified cuts. All my rooms are for flowering and I can't afford to run a room of something that hasn't been verified to be stable and DANK.
For me It's been a long while since such a strain came along that had this sort of genetic potential so I'm very excited to see what comes of any of these upcoming projects. Seems like It's been nothing but watered down OG and diesel crosses for the last 5 years..
Im especially excited to see what canna ventures crosses come out like as some of those look like they could be VERY promising. Not even just the GSC ones but some of the others they got as well.

No worries bro, its definitely hard to tell tone on the internet. I misread what you were sayin as well. The drop went well, the main strains went quick with a few good ones still left. Definitely appreciate the kind words brotha.

Prob not. To be honest the plants got so big I'd be selling myself short by only flowering all of them under 3 600's so all the OGKBs went into another room. So there is actually no more "side by side" but the rooms are right down the hall, from each other.
The original side by side room just got all gnarly. Everything is looking awesome but the difference in stretch js ridiculous and since the different cuts are now spread out, i can now count on getting about 5-6 pounds of cookies as opposed to MAYBE 2.5 off the 600's. It's a no brainer for me. Basically running the OGKB tree style as they're about 5' tall now under some vertical 1000 watters.
I'm getting all my ducks in a row right now though it's just hard when you need 40 cuts per tray. I just put 200 of the forum cut into flower in a 5 lighter I got. And that was just a 5 lighter LOL so you can see how i can Often run short on cuts.
OGKB saw my trees and said they should yield pretty damn well as they're very established and in 7 gallon pots. But the way he was hitting 2+ per was SOG. He's been running her for years so no point in going against the grain. If he says do SOG for best yield then that's what I'm gonna do.
So this next round I'm gonna do 40 per tray. I got a new 8 light room setup so was thinking of doing a side by side in there but purely for myself not to post pix or anything. It's pretty crazy how these two strains can be so similar yet so different at the same time. If I can this weekend I'll post a coulee pix maybe kickstart this thread to get back on track.
Really not sure what I'm gonna do in the future hough. I'm def keeping the moms of the two diff GSC but I'm running some platinum that's about a week from being done and it reminds me how much I fucking love this stuff. Sucks I got rid of my mother of her because it's such an awesome OG but she was FUCKING GIGANTIC. Prop saw the moms and they were just out of control And I had no way of keeping them. They were just way too big.
Either way I like running a bunch of different strains regardless of their name. As long as it's absolute dank and its got great genetic potential Im always down to run whatever. The cookies will def always be in rotation. Don't get me wrong I like uniformity in my rooms but I also like having a little diversity as well.

norcal i know a range up north where theres no rangemasters, no rules, you can do mag-dumps and they have 500 yard targets for that real training, 100 yards and 1 shot per second = no fun!
the four plants in a row on the right are all GSC forum cut....they were super thin and lanky when i planted them...and they managed to fill out pretty nicely.

This cut was passed to me as GSC OGBK cut, i've been hesitant to post in this thread and I am sure people can understand why, I hope this helps kick start the thread in the right direction...

^that looks alot like OG kush to me...w/ the thin 3 bladed leaves...the OGKB cut has mutated leafs, and the GSC and Animal do not yield colas that big....nice grow tho!
yes4prop, this is my first run with it so who knows but I have got to samples buds of the final product and it smells exactly like sugar cookies with a minty after taste....is there a certain type of og kush that carries these traits? I am not highly versed in OG's so I wouldn't know.
I'm down to hit up that range anytime dude let's make it happen. I've yet to be able to use my 100 round drum clip for my AR. Shit I don't even know how well it works ive never used it it's even still in pieces as a rebuild kit. Been waiting to go somewhere out of state and use it. LOL if I showed up with that thing at the range here people might shit their pants. I got access to a couple bumpstocks too those are fucking badass. Let's dooo this.

Hey Lump, I will say that for the first 2-3 weeks these plants reeked of blueberry muffins now that they're at about 33 days the smell has shifted a bit, its more of a candy grape sugar smell....I am not claiming to have anything I just hope to help and verify cuts for others.
