My boys 12 and he tries to be so helpful. He already helps me bring soil out to guerilla grows. That’s about as far as I allowed at his age. No direct contact or sight with any plants. I’m sure he sneaks a peek in my veg room when the doors open. It’ll be nice to share a sesh with my son when he’s older.

I'm lucky as far as my parents go and the whole growing weed thing i think. I'm only 28 but my parents are 72. They not only know i grow but have helped me with it (my mom loves gardening) and they have bought me growing equipment for birthdays and xmas. in fact i was telling overgrow how i am going to try my hand at outdoors this season and my mom is the one who really wants to do it because she's much more of a traditional (outdoor) gardener than an indoor gardener.

She thinks indoor growing is incredibly over complicated, especially when i've explained to her about controllers, co2 systems, de/cmh/hps/mh/t5/led lights and spectrums/par/etc., hydro setups like flood tables, dwc, nft, drip systems, all the different types of nutrients, ventilation systems and intake/exhaust/air filters (carbon scrubbers), you get the point lol.

My dad is more oldschool, served in vietnam, but afterwards started touring with the Grateful Dead (went to 252 shows total before Jerry passed and was a taper for years, all while going to a very good college and becoming an accountant. He once had to go to a business meeting on acid and he said having to try and be serious and normal for several hours was impossible and i think he ended up ducking out because the situation was freaking him out lol. He took me to a Dead concert when i was 5 at Highgate, VT. Jerry died a few months later. I remember him putting me up on his shoulders so i could see everything on the stage.

He's been the head of his accounting office for years and is serious when it comes to his job but still loves to go to shows/festivals (Allman Brothers, Widespread Panic, Gov't Mule, etc.) and tokes every day still generally, though since his surgery to have his aorta replaced about 4 weeks ago (open heart surgery so his sternum was cracked and i didn't know until he told me that they use steel wires to put your sternum back together. Makes me cringe lol.

He doesn't want to smoke now during the recovery process, especially because it hurt and still does hurt the shit out of his chest when he coughs, and because he's also gone into a-fib 3 times since coming home (heart rate of 240 bpm one of the times) and has had to go back to Mass General Hospital every time for 2-3 days at a time.

His girlfriend grew a plant outdoors and is doing a couple this year, though the one she did last year didn't yield much because she basically just let it grow and didn't do anything to increase the yield, though it looked as good as most indoor bud. The quality was probably good because (i may have told this story before), she sprinkled (during the off season in the freezing cold, for no reason) all 25-30 of my Blockhead X (NL/LK X PK) that Krome gifted me in the dirt and just one plant happened to pop up months later (have no idea how even one survived). Those seeds were priceless... :mad: :rant:

I do still have 3 original Blockhead seeds that i saved from years ago as well as 4 Sensi Star from Paradise seeds, a 10 pack of G13 X Yumbolt from Motarebel, 8 Seeds of Mirre (S.A.G.E. x Jack Herer #22) from Karma and like 6-7 seeds of Sour Jack (Sour Diesel X Jack Herer). But i'm making sure (because they are 12 years old) that i get Gibberellic Acid and make sure they all germ. I only got 2 females when i germed the 7 blockhead seeds years ago (well 3 but one hermied because of my terrible conditions (and me being a newbie) such as 100-105 degree temps during flowering, a door frame with no door so massive light leaks to say the least lol), no ventilation at all and still they looked great and had massive buds somehow. Wish i kept cuts of them.

My son is 22 and starting to go his own way. Girlfriend, college, Guitar player in a band, job. I still get him to help with some heavy lift stuff but no way on a half day of trimming.

Throwing it out there- I'll help anyone in the NY, NJ, CT, eastern PA area trim come harvest time for sure. I can't grow currently and I miss trimming- though I never, ever would have thought I'd ever say that.

Don't know you but the states you just listed don't allow patients to grow their own meds would seem suspect.

Sounds like one of those newer breeder strains, just throw a bunch of names together :D Hopefully somebody who was actually there might know a bit more.

Yeah, that's what i figured too. I am vegging it with my clones that i from Overgrow, because i have the space right now but i told him when i switch to flowering i will need all the space i can get so he's going to have to take it within the next 3-4 weeks.

The only way to see if it's good is to wait for it to flower and check it out i guess. I might take a few clones off of it for myself and flower one out just to see if it's worth keeping or not.

The clones i got from OG are growing great, very vigorous. In fact the clone my friend got sticks out because it's just not as vigorous in growth and for some reason looks like it has some type of minor deficiency.

Just harvested my first Mendo Breath in soil. Ive smoked it grown in coco, but cant wait to smoke some organic, water only Mendo.
Its dry and going into jars today. Ill sample a small piece, but the real taste test will come in like 4 days.

This was my first Gene Traders event and I was very impressed. Of course the icmagfam had the healthiest clones. Grabbed Chem 4 from chunkypigs got home hit her with smite and threw her in a 5 gallon and she took off.

That Chem 4 look very healthy.

What's a 508 sesh mean? Like people from the 508 area code? Lol, i didn't even know Worcester used the 508 are code. I guess you learn something new every day.

That sounds cool and all, but with no heads up or location i just can't do that shit. My Brother who usually drives us works almost every day and i just started a job, so unless i know a date at least so many days ahead of time, i've hard for me to make it to things like these. Plus, unless i know there's going to be some good clones/seeds going around i'd rather wait.

I'm really waiting for the next Gene Traders event announcement. I liked the way they organize things and it give me plenty of heads up on when and where it will be.

Has anyone heard anything at all recently? Chunky, you seem to be the head honcho as far as who to talk to about upcoming events, so do you have any idea? Would be much appreciated.

Woah, i didn't noticed that OG said he was looking for a venue in maine. Probably too far away for me, though it depends on what part of Maine.

And why the hell did he get banned? Overgrow was a really good guy. Got me some really good clones for cheap, gave me a free clone of HK and always would answer any questions i had because he knows quite a bit about growing. He was sort of like my Toda....what the hell happened.....
