I've been waiting for him to sound off about the litter boxes in classrooms that don't exist being banned.

It’s not up to anyone else but the parents to teach them morals and values.
Ever heard of teachers? How bout bad & absent parents? What if your parents never graduated high school? What could they possibly teach or know outside of their own narrow range of human experience?
It’s funny how most of the people wanting to teach kids a whole new social system don’t have their own kids. Make your own and teach them whatever.
A whole new social system? Trans people have existed for a long time lol. Teaching kids to be respectful to all people OMG!! What a nightmare!!! Your kids are gonna laugh at you when they're adults if you tell them all this shit.
There’s a reason 70+ percent of homes in America are owned by a married hetero couple with children.
Wrong. You misinterpreted the data. 70% of hetero couples are homeowners, not 70% of the homes in the USA are owned by hetero couples. By contrast, 51% of LGBT couples are homeowners.

The Biden admin just started keeping track of this data too so it's far from conclusive.

Also discrimination exists and I'm pretty sure for a long time it wasn't illegal to discriminate against LGBT people in the housing market.

Where I live, the neighborhoods and highway were built to exclude black people back in the day. For instance the highway was built with overpass bridges at a specific height not to allow buses to pass under them, which was a concerted effort to stop black people from using the beaches.

All the issues in the US surrounding LGBT acceptance in schools, and "DEI & CRT" are deliberate acts by the far right to sow as much doubt and weariness with the public school system that parents who buy into this narrative pull their children out and homeschool them, and/or use these manufactured issues to justify public school cuts. It's especially helpful when for the last 5 decades you pound on your chest and say govt bad govt bad govt is the problem we need the markets to intervene, etc.

The far right and right libertarians for decades now have wanted to abolish stuff like the Dept of Education and the public education system in general. This is just the modern iteration of that.

Far right propagandist Christopher Rufo lays this all out in his own writings;

Good for them. But my kids aren’t raised that way, it’s my choice.

My kids are raised to believe in the power of a large traditional family. They’ll all have a bunch of kids they teach the same values to. That’s how it works.

And as long as they treat the others with respect and act fairly toward them, there shouldn't be any trouble, right?

One of the biggest impressions I try to make on my children is that everyone has the same human value no matter what you think of them, or how they live. It’s never ok to dehumanize anyone.
Good to hear.

Though I make significant exceptions for thieves, murderers, racists, rapists, and such.

Like with Trump, all of these quasi-Puritan mini zealots convince their followers that their edicts are just and lawful, simply because the zealots wish them to be.

And then they're not.

Then we hear paranoid conspiracy claims of Deep State from the mental munchkins, thus shrinking the more real incidents Deep State that actually exists in more common circumstances by virtue of hold-over appointees.... having nothing to do with courts deciding cases based on their merits.

But at least De Santis lost some height on his platform shoes.
