I can't speak for them. I started shaving at 3 years old and by the age of 9 I could get a girl pregnant just by looking at her. Had to wear special glasses once half the elementary school became unwed mothers.

For the record, it's not my preference for parents taking little kids in for surgery, but I don't see where it's anymore my business to stop them doing that, than it is to dig through their cabinets and toss out all the junk food.

That’s hardly the same thing. The problems of obesity are well known. They are also reversible with lifestyle change. Very benign in the short term in comparison to taking hormone blockers.

Blocking a child’s hormonal pathways will cause irreversible side effects that can not be reversed. Some being very severe

For the record, I'm not arguing. I do not like the idea of socially initiated gender modification in kids. I do support drugs and surgery for physically intersex kids.

What you said may be true. My point was I think individuals (or their parents if they're kids) should be making the choices in both cases, not a government, which is really just other people forcing their choices on people that aren't them.

I also recognized it becomes complicated if the person is a child, in which case I think parents rights come before government intervention.

If I were in the position of some parents, I don't think I'd opt for altering my kid. If my kid decides when they are able to, I might not like it, but I wouldn't have the right to stop them.

Except for Joe possibly being right about something, not discounting it, I just don't know what was said there.

The part about waiting for legal adulthood is key to my personal take on this issue, and I completely agree that should be a decision made with no infringement by government.

Most of the rabid MAGA in this thread think that I am transgender and/or "pushing" it on my kids.

I will gladly say that my personal take doesn't matter when it comes to liberty, however my kids will have to wait until they are old enough to be responsible for their own bodies.

Other people's junk truly shouldn't affect anyone else.
