You do seem sincere in your wanting people not give their kids hormone therapy. I think if my kids weren't grown, I'd be paying attention to what they're ingesting and what might have been sprayed on it.

While I share some of your concerns about irreversible harms etc., it's not my business to forcibly make a person do something with their own body or prevent a person from doing something with their own body.

I understand the issue gets more complex when we're talking about kids, but I think parents wishes should come before government edicts. Further complicating things is, what if parents can't agree? No easy answers sometimes.

In general, I want less government in my life. But I don’t think there is any way around government involvement when it comes to public safety. Especially when we’re dealing with the safety of kids.

My big pushback about parents not being in agreement is safety. Regardless of how much we differ in our beliefs, parents should not have the freedom to choose something that jeopardizes the safety of a child.

So my question to anyone that frames this as an argument against freedom is this, are hormone blockers or gender surgery safe for children ? If yes, explain how in detail. thats my argument and I’ve yet to hear any intelligent response to that question

Do you think the government should protect children from parents and others wishing to mutilate their body?

I have low confidence in governments ability to protect children, given that they always seem to be bombing kids somewhere or another. Not who I'd want to default to being in charge of "child safety".

While I think some people are coming from a place of valid concern, I don't think the thing they want for a solution, government intervention, is the best answer.

Millions of people "mutilate" their bodies by being obese, I wouldn't want there to be The Bureau of Fat Police though.

parents should not have the freedom to choose something that jeopardizes the safety of a child.

So, Bureau of Fat police then? I'm guessing more people die from obesity related causes than from hormone blocking or surgeries gone awry.

For the record, it's not my preference for parents taking little kids in for surgery, but I don't see where it's anymore my business to stop them doing that, than it is to dig through their cabinets and toss out all the junk food.

We can’t debate because you don’t understand all the moving parts of this topic. I’ve tried already
no dude, you constantly avoid my point that i disagree with you that we need to make it illegal for me to try and help my kid when all other treatments have failed... because you know you lose on that one... you are stripping away my parental rights.

one dream one team
why are people born different

i believe people should be free to choose whats best for themselves as adults and parents should have an active role in their childrens lives

People freely choose to have legal medical treatments that certain people don't approve of... that is freedom.

Making them illegal is not.
NO, unless it involves life or limb you are blocked from any kind of sexualy medical alterations
unless its titties, i might make an exception for titties
