Yah, and thinking about it, getting a conversion bulb (cmh or mh) makes a lot more sense - I'm just not in an area w/ hydro or grow shops, so anything I don't currently have would have to be ordered...and I might get it in my grubby little paws for the last 4 or 5 days of this grow. (everything but the haze has 11 days of flushing left)

I want to give it a try, but I think it's just going to have to wait until the next grow. I've got a 400w mh ballast/reflector/bulb setup I could toss in currently, but the way this mass of shit is standing currently (read: barely) I'm hesitant to mess with it. there's about an ounce of haze depending on a ballast cord to stay upright, for examples sake...not really part of a master plan to say the least.

(btw, I laughed at your sig....then I noticed who had said it. Perhaps I've been sampling the wares a bit too much...)

Yeah you've won my sig quote of the month, give or take a few weeks.

I like vertical a lot, and this thread really appeals to me because my 1st indoor grow is probably going to be 3 600's hung in a stadium, & it is definitely going to be a clusterfuck because it will be a mix of seedplants for the first run, and since I have so many seeds I was just going to pop way more than I need to, stuff the small ones around, and the big ones I'll just snap them if they don't cooperate.

pretty cool, man - running from seed should add a fair bit of clusterfuckability.

Alright - Haven't had much to add of late, as...well...it's a flush. What's to say about that. You take away all the goodies, and are essentially beyond most calamity...if there's not even a possibility of things going horribly awry, where's the fun in that.

Today was day 62 of 12/12, day 47 after the lighting change...and so it ends. The haze ladies have at least another week yet to go, but the scissor cherry was popped earlier today. Bucket 4 NL got the chop, the other 5 will come down tomorrow.

The last shot of the clusterfuck in all of it's gloritardation

With the snip came a bit of an unveiling - when the buckets got turned around at day 15 of flowering, a side branch on this plant was broken off, leaving just a cooch hair of skin holding it on to the plant. Aluminum tape proving ill suited to the task, I went into the surgery kit and pulled out the masking tape.

I probably could have removed the tape after a couple of weeks, but...well, honestly it ended up buried in buds and I forgot about it.

Of course, having been abused...this branch produced the largest buds on the plant. You can see the branch is twice as thick as the one across the stem from it - they obviously started off the same. Not something I'd do on purpose, but still - it did something cool, so I'm going to give it an acronym and call it a method - TRM (tape rape method).

Having chopped her, here's some pics of the bucket 4 NL in various stages of undress. I'll take pics of the others coming down tomorrow, but I may well be too scissor zombied to post with a quickness.

Well, everything's cut, dried, jarred and the room is empty save cleaning supplies and paint cans...it's probably time to put a cork in this bitch.

The hazey ladies laid out, post scissorfication

the 9 week girls

haze

bucket 1, Nirvana NL - 190g
bucket 2, Hashberry Midget - didn't even bother weighing it. probably a 1/2o, give or take a joint. As it's the invisible midget in every other capacity of this grow, it fails to appear in a 'tally' capacity either
bucket 3, Nirvana AK48 - 32g
bucket 4, Nirvana NL - 144g
buckets 5 & 6 - Seedsman Original Haze - 322g
bucket 7 - Nirvana AK48 - 183g (lumpy weighed in at 34g)
bucket 8 - Nirvana AK48 - 187g

9 week tally - 676g
10 week tally - 322g

considering they had 800w for two weeks, 1400w for 6 weeks, and the haze ladies finished with a week of alternating days of 600w and 1000w...getting a g/w on this one seems like more effort than it's worth - call it 1400w for simplicity's sake, and it comes to about .7g/w.

I'm really doubting I'll do this again, but for anybody feeling adventurous/half insane:
- 6 buckets would have been a better setup for the lights I was throwing at them. The two runts made for easy access to the middle, but it isn't exactly efficient
- Leaving the floorspace in the center open would have allowed for a simpler fan arrangement - as is, I had the feed manifold floating around in there
- A trellis would have made a large difference - even something like a tomato cage around the center bulb would have made life a lot easier. Considering the lights are coming from different directions at different times of their growth in this idiocy, I don't think caging individual plants would work that well, but 5-6 foot tall plants and bamboo poles/string to the ceiling probably isn't the best way to go about it either - and that worked. kinda. sorta. in a 'pain in the ass' sense of 'it worked'.
- I didn't have too many hassles w/ running different strains, but having valves to isolate either individual buckets or groups of buckets would have helped - especially for plants w/ differing finishing/flushing times. Either that, or run the same cut in every bucket.

in conclusion, crazy mutant haze fingers.
