short bushy seems spot on, smells are fruity skunky
the gdp clone does not make huge heads but these are s1 so who knows whats going to pop out
leaves are a big indication

Looking good folks......i guess jayd confirms that the GDP S1's are putting out what look to be almost identical plants to the original cut we use, cant wait to hear the smoke reports.
Peace

Wish I could join in...

Wish I could join in...

Thought I would join in and see if I can contribute something here.

I have Crohn's disease, and with it, a lot of accompanying nausea, appetite loss, pain, etc. Purple heavy indica strains are best for my condition, and a fellow med patient who also has crohn's disease swears by GDP. Says nothing helps his nausea and pain like it, nothing. Needless to say, I am intrigued.

Anyway, long story short, living in Canada it's pretty much impossible to find a real GDP cut. And after hearing about the incredible medicinal properties of GDP, I was thrilled to hear about these Connoisseur S1 beans on Attitude back when they first came available. I ordered a pack immediately.

But then disaster struck....

My package arrived from attitude and every seed in the shipment had been smashed to bits by customs (read about the drama here http://goo.gl/V4nth)

So I told attitude about this, sent them photos of the damage, and they shipped me another pack. Problem is, I asked them to please ship very discreetly, and they didn't. Just stuck the regular old breeder's pack in a box and shipped it out. Second package arrived with the yellow customs tape on it again, and AGAIN, every seed smashed by customs. I'm a legal med patient, but they don't seem to give a shit. I have zero recourse to get my seeds replaced or even get reimbursed so I could buy them again, because they are supposed to send a letter if they confiscate something, so at least I could dispute it. Nope. They know what they're doing is wrong, so they don't make it 'official' and send a letter. They just destroy them and expect me not to do anything about it because they assume I'm not a legal grower.

Anyway, just wanted to share my heartache with you, and let you know I'm following along so I can grow vicariously through you luck folks who got some of the beans.

Also, the dude that recommended GDP to me, managed to get his hands on some of these S1's from Attitude, and he sent me some photos to check out (he's knows how bad I've been wanting to grow this strain).

It looks like he's got two main pheno's here. Three look very similar, and sound to me like the description given here about the really desirable purple pheno. But then there is this really strange one. It's very limey coloured, a little taller, and the leaves have a really funny look to them. They're kind of mottled looking, and the stems and leaves are really floppy. Doesn't matter if they're fully watered or not, they always have this droopy look to them he says.

Not sure if this is just a wierdo mutant, but thought I would post these up here to see if we could get some feedback as to weather this pheno is common. I've never grown big bud, so if GDP is indeed Urk x Big Bud, I would have to assume this mutant looks more like big bud? I dunno, what do you all think?

Thanks for any input, and thanks for letting me get this off my chest too.

Best of luck with your GDP fellas!

Photos: First shows the three similar phenos on the left, and the weird one on the right. Second photo has them grouped into the two phenos, third shows the best example of what the urkle dominant phenos are like, and the last is the mutant.

Here's my lot.The one pictured in my above post is #4. i don't know much about growing the gdp for I never have but I can tell you these s1's are slower in veg and apear they are going to be heavy feeders..Like I said I dont know much about gdp other than it's supposed to be one of the best tasting strains on earth so I have high hopes...What Ive noticed is that #'s 1,3,5 seem pretty similar #4 is a little faster growing and #2 is a bit freakish.

L to R back to front. 1 2 3 4 5
