You said it was corn meal  Don't tell me you've never had hush puppies or corn dodgers... deep fried and greasy as can be :yummy: Good for insect nests I guess too.. but not deep fried for them.

:canabis: Gro I've never heard of hush puppies , but now really want to try some. :yummy: :yummy:

Jaws I was most definitely drinking my fair share of Silver bullets when you posted last night. :friends: Now what happened to that damn 18 pack I bought last night?

:yummy: OJ Yeah these threads do give me the munchies too. :yummy: Especially when Mrs. Babba starts showing us what she's got cooking.

Alright I've given up on predator mites it's getting colder now and they aren't doing what I told them to. :yoinks: So it's chemical warfare from now on. I bought 3 no pest strips for my GH and hung them in it last night. 1 no pest strip for my for my clones and 1 for tyhe plants i'm keeping for TP.

I have a question about "No Pests Strips". Aren't they just sticky pads? They don't off gas do they? I have read where peeps don't like using them because of chemicals. I thought they just make the bugs stick to them.

btw, how do mites get all the way to the strips if they can only crawl?

THE MITES BREATHE through there exoskeleton. the chemical in the no pest strip(diclorvis or something like that) is deadly for them to breath as they have no lungs..or filtration..as they breath through there skeleton...humidity also helps rid your garden of them....no pest is the only thing i have had kill all hatched mites in one night....the no pest strips are not a sticky...they are a sponge of chemical if you will.

Garlic - your mite worries should be over. In fact to make the pest strips last longer, you can keep them out for 2-3 days, put them in sealed plastic baggies, and in a week put them out another 2-3 days. They last a long time this way.

I was getting ready for a wwf match - garlic and the mites! :yoinks:

MGJ Thanks for the tip, but I'm not worried about how long they last as long as they decimate the damn mite population. For the amount of money that I have spent paying for predator mites and other organic remedies I could have bought enough No Pest Strips to put out all around my entire property.

It's all about chemical warfare from here on out!!!! :yoinks: :bat:

Thanks Guys, MasterMagic. I always thought of them as sticky pads. I guess cause of the yellow color and that the cover had slits in it like to alway bugs to fly in. That would explain why they cost so much more than sticky pads. Now I feel silly, asking a dumb question. No more dumb questions.

Greenjeans, I can see where having the strips in a smaller place concentrates the poison, but isn't it hard to gather up the mites and place them in the bag with the strips? That would deffinately make the strips last long though. :biglaugh: :muahaha:

 OJ No question is a dumb question in my book. This is my first time using them so I really didn't know how or if they would work? Now I know. So far all of the adult mites are dead. :woohoo: and anyother insect in my GH for that matter.

Now I have a stupid question for everyone? Do the No Pest Strips kill the eggs too?

See Joe I have questions too. :yoinks:

I wouldnt think they would kill the eggs but as soon as they hatch and those lil fucks can breath they die. I dont know about you but I dont use the no pest strips in flower. The reason being what it says on the package dont put if your going to be the area for a long period of time or by shit your going to eat. The chemical in that shit is very leathal as you can tell. So far It has worked great putting it in only in veg.

Thanks for the tip and heads up mysta. I am going to keep them in my GH for the rest of this week and put them into zip-lock bags for the future in case I need them? I'm only about 2 weeks into flower now so I'm hoping I haven't poisoned myself yet?

Thanks

No prob.... What I did was put that shit out of my garden but where it could still keep those lil bastards away like a tree, roof, attic or on the fence. When my pot head azz remembers I move it around.
