OK I guess I need to let everyone know what is going on? I think I got attacked by mold ? I am not 100% sure though. I might have screwed up and mix a hot bacth of ferts? I am not too sure though?

I gave my plants a feeding on Wed. night and when I checked them on Thurs. night They had gone to hell. Most of my big fan leaves had turned pale yellow with necrotic spots. A lot of the tips had turned almost black and looked like they were dieing.

The reason I am not sure if it is mold or a mad fluxuation in PH or a nute burn is this dam weather we've been having. On wed it was raining like an SOB and then on Thurs it was blue skies in the 70's. My property had an inch of stqanding water on it because of all of this rain ( I thought we lived in california not Oregon ?) When there are drastic swings in temps like that the RH in my grow room goes threw the roof. This is why I think that I have a mold issue.

So to remedy the RH prob I have installed a fan on a gable vent to draw in fresh cool air. This will hopefully bring my temps and RH down. I will just have to wait and see?

I hope it's not mold because my MS's are about 2-3 weeks from harvest and I don't want to loose my crop to mold.

On a good note Dezy's BBW's don't seem to be affected at all just the MS's.

Thanks HH it doesn't look as bad any more. The only prob I have is there aren't any good pics of what mold looks like. I think it was a bad PH fluxuation though, not sure? It looks like I should be able to keep it under control untill harvest?

I have 1 question for Dezy!!!! Where's the purple ? I have his BBW's and no sign of any purple, the hairs are starting to turn golden, but no purple.

hiya, garlic!

sorry to hear about the mold...if you are unsure, it looks like white fur. mildew is darker. both are bad in a grow.

have you tried Serenade? its OMRI certified, and kills both...or you could use bleach on the floor, walls and other hard surfaces to kill mold, mildew, etc...

if you are 2-3 weeks to finish on the MS, i would feed pH adjusted water, no more nutes.

I have beeen watering with straight PH balanced water 6.8. I am not going to give any more ferts. I am starting the flush. I think this will correcty the problems? The MS's are starting to pack on some weight and are getting frosty so are the BBW's the only problem I have with the BBW's is where's the purple? If you haven't guessed that by now.

Thanks sleepy. I think the problem is personal error? My first thoughts were mold or fungus because of the temp and high RH. I have had it before and that is my biggest worry. Now that I have given them a few days and taken a few deep breathes and a few more hits they are starting to look better.

For all the new growers out there if you have a problem don't panic and start trying to fix it right away without knowing what is really wrong with your plants. This is a lesson that has taken me many years of trial and a whole lot of error to learn. I don't feel that you are a seasoned grower until you have dealt with a number of different problems and no matter how great or high tech your setup is you will sooner or later have problems. It happens to the best of them and let tell you I am by no means a pro.

growit she is one of the easiest plants that I have ever grown. Not nute sensitive at alland she is a lot hardier than the MS's for sure. I haven't had any problems with the BBw's at all.

solid advice, GCG...when you have a problem, its really important that you correctly identify the problem, then take steps to correct it.

Thanks for all the advice sleepy. You know how it is when you are so close to harvest and then one day you walk in your room and OMG something is seriously wrong I just had to take some deep breathes and even deeper tokes

Hiya Garlic

Now that you have pic up - you ran into the same problem I've been having. This MS clone line seems to be very sensitive to EC and pH levels. I think she'll be fine now, if you get another stall in growth you might want to take one and give enough water for a small amount of runoff and check pH & EC/ppm.

Mine had this problem early on, so it affected yield - your's happened late so I think you will be good to go.

I'm thankful it's not mold - that's a lot harder to avoid.....

The plants look great GCG. Even with no color the bbw looks very nice. From the pic it looks super frosty. How is the collection of cuts for next run coming along?

Hey Gronut long time no see.

I found out how Dezy is doing it last night. I went to his house and he had a gallon o purple food coloring that he is using to water his plants with J/K. I think he has a purple thumb. That's OK though I will take a green thumb any day.

Yeah eventhough they don't have any purple they are some nice plants. sweet berry smell nice and frosty buds and are getting denser every day.

The cuts are coming along just fine, but after I finish this grow I am going to take some time off from posting pics. Don't worry if you e-mail me I will keep you updated. It should be a merry christmas this year. For everyone else I think I will post pics in the flower pics when I am close to harvest to let everyone see how my GH did this summer.

Hey everybody happy late 420. I am posting some new pics. The MS's are startung to fill in and get frosty The BBW's are getting denser by the day and they are really frosty too , but still no purple I am on day 41 of flowering so I figure the MS's have about 2 more weeks left so I will start flushing now. I think the BBW's are going to take 60-70 days so I will give them 1 more light feeding in the middle of next week.

Hell yeah those MS hippies are partying in there..a kolarama you got going on..
Maybe the BBW's need to go autumn..to show her true colors..like no more N from here and a little more time..just fat to chew on..
From that pic she still has a lush look..but looks like some of her leaves want to change..
we'll just have to wait and see..
