I grabbed 3 200 gal and 2 100 gal smartpots today. Still tempted to get the rototiller out buy as much amendments as I can and give each girl a chance to spread her feet out. In ground or smartpots is my next dilemma. With the drought we have I think in ground would be smarter. But a lot of work and have know idea what to mix in. Any suggestions?

Hello again people,

I just have a question for anyone familiar with auto flowering strains. I do believe my tut seeds may be auto flowering but I've never fucked with autos so I don't know. Below is a pic of my tuts that are vegging @ 18/6. Should she be doing this if not autoflower?

way too many pistils showing on those plants for being on 18/6.
they look like 2 or 3 weeks into 12/12 already. i have never done auto-flowering strains but i would not put those outside for a season looking like that.

Lol damn singleseedcentre.com, I'm sure they sent me a pack of auto tuts instead of Feminized I had plans to clone these but oh well. Will still put them outside soon maybe in 45 gal smartpot. I can't flower inside as all my space is used up on veg. I live in a townhome/ complex. Im lucky I could talk my girlfriend into turning our closet into a grow show lol. No signs of autoflower or even pistils on the sharks though.

Well got bored this week and planted some crimson clover into my pots. Read somewhere, I believe from team microbe, that it helps draw nitrogen into your plants and help keep pests from burrowing into your soil. Thanks for that info.

Also did some yard work and found this little fellas hanging out. Hope his/her mom finds it.

Well talked with my father in law yesterday when I showed him all the pictures of what I had veggin up for the season. Since he doesn't have anything goin himself yet we reached an agreement. We will be partnering up this season to hopefully grow some decent crop. The positive side is he pretty much has unlimited funds for the grow for stuff like decent soil and amendments. He's got a nice compost tea brewer. The drawback is since it's his property and he is so stubborn and his way or the highway that now he gets to control pretty much all aspects of the grow. Which scares me because his product has been hit and miss in the past. This guy dropped $$$$$ on equipment and turned half his 3 car garage into the most bad ass growroom,at least that I've ever seen, did one grow of grape ape which was the best stuff he has ever grown imo then pretty much trashed everything cause his yield wasn't what he wanted or expected. He had 16 raptor 1000 hps grow and lost money? How the hell does that happen. At least I'll have somewhere to put my babies right.

Partnerships can be hit or miss...especially with family. It sounds like you guys are all set for this year, but I personally wouldn't let someone else take over my grow unless he was an experienced grower with a proven track record...and even then I would hesitate to hand over the keys to someone else.

It's all a learning experience though. You've hopefully got many years of growing ahead of you, so relax and enjoy the ride and keep your eyes and ears open. Once you learn as much as you can and get yourself to a certain point in your growing career, you'll often find you don't need a partner to get where you want to go.

HB.

Thanks for the advice Hempfrey.

Yeah his plants look beautiful all the way through veg then it seems like he always SCREWS something up in flower and his plants never really get frosty. No tricromes and airy buds. Maybe it's cause he goes strictly with organics and his recipe isn't right or maybe it's cause he doesn't really care which seeds he pops. He is also used to starting seeds in ground only to have to pull half of his plants cause they are males. Not this year. We will have all females hopefully.

Well folks looks like I've got work to do out here on the property this next week. Here's the plan. We're gunna rototill the entire piece of property with amendments. One side we will use raised beds while the other side will be planted straight into the ground. Plus a tree of two may be removed for extra sun. Happy gardening.

Well I'm bored and sitting around drinkin some beer at a kids birthday party so I figured I'd hook up to WiFi and post some pictures. Check out the first pic. Got seeds from neighbor so genetics are unknown. Never seen a mutant plant.

Calidude, could be a possibility. I did add some extra blood meal in my mix when I transplanted and the plants are super green. Almost too green. I give each 2 gallon pot a full water bottle every 3 to 4 days. Over watering killed me last season I just didn't know why the plants wouldn't grow. My buddy told me to cut back on watering. Came back 2 weeks later in early July and sure enough they grew a bit. Shrews said he had issues transplanting last season from coco to soil as he had to constantly water the root mass cause it would dry out much faster than his soil so I'm sure I might run into this problem as well.

June 1st I believe. I'm really hoping these seeds start spitting some hairs or sacks soon so I can take some clones and free up some space. Plan on throwing out some clones mid June as well. Since we are splitting the meds three ways my father in law wants to do as many plants as I can muster up in the next months. Trying to get a clone from my boy. He on hks blueberry fix. He picked up some blue magoo bx2 and salmon river beans from dynasty genetix. Also has some digiberry or bluedgigiberry goin. Anyone with experience growing these outside?

One of the pillars of a successful outdoor grow is genetics. If you just start with random seed, you will get random results. When you start with proven genetics, you get a stronger pillar.

Want to grow good plants outside? Read the big plants thread in tom hills forum. Start on page one, and follow the advice!

Tell you father in law about icmag. Show him pictures of some of the legendary gardens here by our excellent member core. Tell him if he wants top dollar top shelf stuff he needs to use icmags insane amount of free info to get there. Oldtimers in nor cal can be stubborn, lots of grow lore and my neighbor told me to ect...

Your in nor cal so you have access to the best clones in the world, I'd scrap the seeds or keep em, but go down and get some clones. DHN, easy.

Also scrap the coco, its point less outside imo. Build a simple soil based on tom hills recipe. You can get a pound a plant off clones planted June 1st with full sun and proper soil.

Im also growing the critical sensi star. I haven't grow it before, but nothing seems to piss those plants off. I have two going and they handle heat and cold like champs. Everyday they're praying to the sun.

Thejointedone, That is great advice and will be my goal for next year. If I had more money believe me I would have picked up some better genetics. Still will try to get some clones from dark heart as soon as I make some room and money. Does river city phoenix have clone that are any good? Man my father in law would probably be pretty angry with me if he'd known I'm on here posting pics of our garden and whatnot. But I love sharing with others if I can get some advice from some of the world's best then why not share info.

Chunk, yeah the critical s.s. will be my keeper is what I hear from everyone. It was a freebie and the only reputable seed I have goin along with the 2 sharks. I will be cloning these hopefully soon. Those jokes they called Tutankhamon. Here's how their lookin these days. Anyone know what would cause so much browning of pistols? I know you look for that when their done flowering but 8 sure these have a bit more to go.

Also these big ass black bumble bees that takes a bit of getting use to them buzzing around your noggin. They love the flowers that come off the passion fruit though.
