G13, we know it is a pure Indica whose genetics have been incorporated far and wide, but where does it originate. Was it really rescued from a U.S. Government Research Laboratory? That only tells us how it got loose. The missing puzzle piece has always been from which genepool did it arise? No other variety is as shrouded in mystery as G13.

The clone was liberated, and the person that Nevil got the G13 clone from was Jorge Cervantes in
Seattle. It came from a friend of Gorges who had liberated the clone.

I asked Jorge recently About If he had any knowledge about the G13... He said " I do not have a history or contacts for it "

Wasn’t the HP from seed bank HP x NL1 but a multiple BX to HP?

Well, that was what I was told by Nevil, and he also collected the American clone called NL5 (different plant to the NL5 Nevil used in breeding) Nevil ended up culling later on at the same time Nevil collected the G13.

I kept it quiet never posted about that then someone else posted it and I think it could have been in this thread, but it was in Icmag. I then confirmed it was correct.

Who knows, Gorge can be weird.

Yeah I can confirm ,I have read the conversation I dont remeber in which forum, maybe here but Im more than sure Hempy didnt mention names and keptit quit. Till someone else mention Jorge and the story on how G13 reached Nevil.
