Fungus Gnats and Microbe Lift

ok we had to FLUSH with 1500 gallons of water because of salt build up and very dry spots.

Down by the low end of my spot has this bug now in the millions.
Im not seeing much plant damage and they actually are not even on my plants and my sticky traps have just a hand full of gnats.

What is this a shore fly or a fungas gnat?
I removed their water and nailed them with ceder oil.

If its not one bug its another and im staying top of it!

I've got fungus gnats, but not bad. Just picked up a gallon of Microbe-Lift BMC. I'll chime back in when I see how it works. Thanks for the info thus far....

Like all BTi products, it needs to be placed in water for 24 hours-48 hours before watering it into the plants. Way to many people skip this step.

Also, like Granger already mentioned, this will do absolutely nothing for adults, if you are noticing adults gone after this treatment, that is a coincidence and nothing more.

I put a strong dose of Microbe Lift (1/2 ml in a gallon of water) and poured about 1/2 quart on each gallon pot. This morning I have only seen 2 adult gnats as I stirred up the soil on the tops of the pots. Before application there were probably 40-50 adults. Would the microbe lift kill the adults? Or drive them out of the room? Any one have experience with this?

I top feed DTW and when I see any sign of larva I do a drench with Azamax. Tablespoon per gallon and they are done deal. Done this many many times and never had any effect on my plants.
I just ordered some of this microbe lift yesterday. It seems like it's good stuff for prevention of an infestation. I just had to do a drench yesterday because once again misquote dunks in my storage and rez water don't pan out. They get used to it or something. Azamax is my friend.
