went to court, they now have 3 more charges against me, but did not up my bail, thank god!
they added cultivation, having a lethal weapon(kept a billyclub next to my bed) and stealing of power, even though i wasn't, it was tapped years ago and i took it off.....
lawyer says that she will have the whole case dismissed.....

im kinda at the point where id rather get caught with my guns than without them. i dont trust my neighborhood that much, breakins and burglaries every day. just the thought of not having a firearm in the house for self defense makes me feel unsafe.
technically under state law there shouldnt be a problem, only under federal. for gun ownership DOJ asks "if you are an unlawful user or addicted to marijuana"......well if im under county limits than i am a lawful user. if im a lawful user of marijuana than how is there no such thing as a legal gun/grow. also what if the guns are kept locked and in a seperate area of the house, and they are only hunting rifles, etc.? if i had my shotty just lying in the corner of the G'room yeah maybe thats bad.
i guess i should talk to a lawyer and put one on retainer. my buddy was busted in oakland with a 300 plant grow and a pistol and nothing is happening to him so far...he said DA already offered a 5 year probation deal. no gun charge only cultivation. this is the only reason i can support 19 because than state legal gun owners can use/grow state legal pot...

i was curious how 19 would effect this and from what i gathered in the 19 debate thread.... its only a crime if you are possesing a firearm while commiting a felony. so if you are in county/state compliance then there is no felony in the first place and you can have your guns and your grow in your house. oustide of federal agencies of course, where even one plant is a felony so the gun charge is automatic.
so 19 wouldnt change anything, it wouldnt be a felony county/state wide to grow.... so you can have your guns. but federally it would be the same one plant = felony and the gun charge is automatic

the wording is super cloudy here. basically you need to be armed or "have available", or available "on scene". the limitations of the wording "on scene" are not clarified. It could mean on you possession or in the immediate vicinity.
So if i had guns inside the grow room, it would probably fall under that PC. but if they are locked and stored in another area of the house, maybe it isnt? if the guns are stored at another totally seperate location i dont see this enhancement sticking. it would all depend if the jury is a bunch of liberal anti gun douches or some pro 2nd libertarians...

Paid the 420.00 dollars to sit with him for 2 hours yesterday. There is no discount for having a consultation with him. He charges a flat rate of 15,000 to defend you. It doesn't matter if it takes 2 months or 4 years of trial. Graduated from Yale and did post grad at Stanford. 12 years practicing and even usely handles 12 cases at a time.
I have to say some of the shit he was saying was just plain scary from a legal stand point.
Guns and weapons are a no no. Even in a safe.
Do not have minors around your grow. CPS is worse then the DA.
If you are growing you are breaking the law. From a federal stand point.
Don't grow in your primary residents if you have any value in it. The Feds are looking for assets.
Do at least 4 hours of community service a month. Be sure to document and take pictures. The judge eats this up.
When it was all said and done. If you have a clean record, no weapons, and some asset protection. And of course reasonable plant count. You will end up with a slap on the wrist and 15,000 less.
BTW clones are plants and he believes clone factories run the highest risk.
