From start of cloning to harvest 13 week scrog

Looks like a decent yield their bro, nice colours too. I have the same issue in my "scrog" the back right corner is sucking ass yield wise. The colas are short look more like side branch buds

Hope you don't mind the pic bro, say the word if so

Bit hard to see but look at the length of the colas on the back left compared to those on the back right. Same strain, lack of watts

Nice ichy!

Interested to see how you feel about the flat gardening style vs. the vert octagons.

I copied your octagons to a T and have 2 of them in a room! I know that is another thread but thanks for making it super easy to copy !

Nice looking buds you got there, and what you've figured out about the air layer cloning is amazing thanks for that as well!

Way to get it done ich! I flipped my room sometime as you so it has been a blast seeing yours at same day as mine. Taking em down one at a time.

Got my project tray ready for today. Going to air layer some cannabis and manzanita. Maybe some other plants too.

Thanks for this informative and well logged log. Is it a sticky yet?? Hahahaha

fastest scrog ever :) nice flowers to.

Yes I wanted to try and compete with a sog grow. To many younger growers start thinking that is the way to get the most bud the fastest. Here is a way to crank out just 5 plants compared to about 49 in the same foot print in the same time frame. If it keeps just one grower within his or her plant limit and out of jail it is a success to me.

I can see you have the same problem. The only way to fix that is to be able to get to that corner. That would require a walk way or a removable rack in the front to get to it. I have thought of a way to do that but not sure if I want to do a thread on it right away.

The Bruce Banner #3 did pop out the color this last week for sure. Surprised me because this is my first run with it

Bruce Banner looks awesome, nice colors. Death Star looks friggin humongous. All looks perfect. Great job bro!

Thanks. Yes the Deathstar puts out nice buds. Love running it.

Nice ichy!

Glad that the vert works for you. I did that thread like this so I could give back to ICMAG for what I learned here. Pretty much everything I do is just crap I learned here. It is like legos, just putting the pieces together in a different way.

As for the vert vs flat. Both have there benefits. Flat is easier but takes way more room. Vert kicks the crap out of flat for yield per square foot. But flat kicks the crap out of vert for ease and amount of skill required. You would be amazed at how many people ask questions on vert. Just takes time and practice to get it right.

Haha sticky. There are so many good threads out there I would hate to be the mod who decides sticky or not.

If I dont log it this well I am sure I would get a million questions. Plus people would be like no way dude. Show the picture or it didnt happen.

How did your grow turn out compared to this? You got a link to pictures of it?

Hope you get the air layering down. I love it for the size of plant, count numbers, and ease.

It certainly has been a success, a gem of a thread, thanks again for showing us

LOL. my run was from seed. 10 plants. in a 5x5 area with 1k light. no topping or training. Au Natural. I don't run threads anymore. Hide out in my micro-groups. hahaha. Minion of the Dark thread has it all. I'll post yield to compare with ya when its all said and done.
Here's a couple pics. Sorry for the thread jackin'...

Here's the tent 2/3 full. Pull everything out at least once a week for watering and inspection. Seed run = watching for herms. This was from 3 weeks ago

Plants are large though...no training, so not full utilization of space or time.

Thanks for the kind words makes it worth it. Like I said hope the younger guys think this has enough coolness to it to do this instead of breaking the law.

Im not a youngster but u sold me on a way to keep my plant numbers down n my yield up! Thanks for sharing Ichy.

Plants looked like they turned out pretty nice. Did that banner keep up yield wise in comparison to the D star? I know u haven't dried n weighed yet, but what do ur eyes tell ya?

I dont think the Bruce Banner #3 will yield as much as the Deathstar per plant. The buds appear smaller and spread out more in the screen. Plus they were in the back were it was harder to train because I am to fat to get to them. And old with a sore back.

Another reason that the Deathstar will be heavier is the lighting they were under during cloning. I had them under some pure veg bulbs. This kept them short and bushy. The Bruce Banner #3 were under day light bulbs which gave them more stretch. If you flip back to the pictures when they were cut off you can see what I mean.

But all this can be fixed in a other grow now that it is known. Like DHF says "grows under your belt". This is the first time I have run like this, and most likely the first for anybody like this.

So most of the buds are dry now. I dont have a weight yet. I wont have it till I finish trimming another room. I need to get it up and running first so I can pay the bills. But till then here are some pictures of the scrog screen now that the buds are dry.

First up is the full screen.

Next is the right front corner.

Followed next by the left front corner.

One last corner. This is the left rear corner.

Last up is a picture of the full back of the screen.

Buds look much smaller now that they have dried. So sad but maybe the final weight will make me feel better. Will have that soon enough I hope.

Well they are not quite dry. They still need a day or two, maybe three. I trimmed some Deathstar buds off and the stems are still a little wet. The fans dont snap off yet. So I trimmed the fans off of the ones I cut off and put them on a tray to dry. I put them in a room with a dehumidifier set at 50% RH to finish.

I was hoping to get two ounces of both the Deathstar and Bruce Banner #3 to deliver tomorrow. Does not look like I will.

So here is a picture of the fans and buds before I put the buds in the drying room.

And so you dont think I am Bull crapping you here are some pictures of my veg area. You can see I need to move these up.

And yes the lights are all the way up. The plants are about 5.5 feet tall including their pots.

I also hate the shrinkage from wet to dry buds. Growing is like riding the roller coaster so many ups and downs but usually well worth the ride at the end :)

Looking forward to hearing what the yield is

ichabod do you still grow gg4?what do you think is the best strain for vert?

I have not grown it to much because I had the dudding. That said It is ok in my vert.

I prefer something with a stiffer stem. Because I use overlapping light patterns a plant that grows toward the light and can support itself is best. If I had a single bulb or a lower wattage bulb where the canopy is not as deep it would be great.

I still will run it for the demand anyway. People want it so I will grow it. It is just a little more work in my grow set up. Because of the floppy stems it takes more work to keep it trained.

I just finished reading the entire thread, and wanted to post my thanks for the information you've given. I'd heard of air layering, of course, but didn't realize that it was more than a curiosity until you mentioned plant numbers. What a revelation! In my state the local politicians decided to screw over the mmj patients in pursuit of bigger profits, so our plant count will be reduced to three plants in July (four if you're brave enough to be on the state registry). That's just not enough to even keep a mother, let alone have clones ready to go when a cycle ends, if you're using standard cloning techniques.

This knowledge is going to have a very significant impact for me, so I can't express enough how much I appreciate seeing the technique in action.

:respect:
