@PB: brah, not the least bit of sadness lol. It was a long and hard season with lots of troubles. So I was very pleased I got the chance to take them down. You know, most grows this size don't finish at all. So very happy to have been able to finish them. We cut it close quite a few times, but," head high and keep at it" - at least that is what I've been telling meself the last couple of months.

Almost out of the woods

Planning for next year will start. We'll be growing for 2 CSC's next year : The Herb Club (medicinal CSC, only one in BE) and BE-Social (new CSC!)

We'll still have Dutch Passion backing us with wonderfull genetics, I'm sure, aswell as OJD from CGS. Next year expect lots of new super autoflowers and some stellar strains!

So out of the batch of FDs how many were the good pheno vs average pheno vs bad pheno .... I think I saw you had at least 1 bad pheno....reason I ask is because I'm looking for outdoors strains that will finish well outdoors with minimal attention of once every week or 2

@ GeminiG: We had 16 Frisians.

4 of them turned out to be of a green-sativa phenotype. It has a very nice herbal sativa smell and a nice strong high. Flowers pretty fast and among the earliest of the Frisian.

We had 4 green indica pheno's, that later turned purple because of the lower night temps. Big and strong buds. Still need to test those.

8 Of the Frisians turned either partially or totally purple. All shades of red-rust-purple-pink. Very beautiful and all had a scent that was really dank, like creamy berries, dark forest fruit and hints of chocolate and cranberries. Some where less pronounced but all in all all purples where pretty good!

All Frisians made big long cola's, totally covered with sparkeling resin.
All Frisians where very very mold resistant. Neither Mildew, nor any budrot.
Purple Frisians are more resistent to spidermites than the green ones.


All in all, Frisian Dew delivers: large plants, large yield and real quality end product make this a strain to-have-tested for the outdoor/greenhouse grower!
Also just a very beautiful strain to grow!

I always wondered about the use of that stuff. Indoors ok, you have a shorter life span, possibly sterile soil and few infiltrations from outdoor. But outdoors, those fungi's are already in the soil everywhere if there are other plants nearby?

Those fungi are not always in the soil as Cannabis reacts to certain specific mycorrhizal fungi.

Also, there are different classes of MF.

When you first use your soil, better make sure the right colonies can establish in your soil. Those MF are more important for use in outdoor/greenhouse plots, because those plants are more vulnerable to insects, pests and diseases and other fungal diseases.

We did not use any preventative measures against mildew for example and evidence is plentyful, because all around the plants there where spots with mildew on non-cannabisplants (no access to MF).

So no need for a product like Bifidan for example.

Just all natural.

I can attest to that because I've used the MF indoors aswell.


The MF protect and serve.

When using MF and living organic soil the MF's effects on the plant are the following:

- Better transport of water and nutrients
- More protection against dry periods,wet periods,extreme cold and extreme heat
- Better soil penetration of the roots
- Bigger rootmass
- More biomass (up to 40%!)
- Better Phosphorus uptake
- Protection against most fungal diseases
- Protection against bacteria and soil pests
- No need for extra nutrients (saves ya costs!)
...


So think about it, next time you start a grow. And if your soil is optimized, you'll have to have faith to let it all go its way.

Make to inoculate your soil several months previous to the start of the season.
