hey VP! i just use generic plugs in a tray with a dome and mat. i have a couple cuttings in there right now that i just put straight into cups. with plugs. in plugs. whatever. although, i must admit i recently got frustrated with sub 50% rates and switched to clonex gel. that and i started taking bigger cuttings and leaving more leaves on them. rates went back up to 90% or so. about 70% are hauling ass. ive actually got to materialize the cash to buy about 30-40 1gal rootmaker pots and enough soil to fill them cause the cuts will tap out the cups soon, quicker than i expected.
seeded - right on man i got a little careried away with the macros
realog - gracias amigo!

Thats cloning for ya. Everything will be runnin smooth and then after a while ya gotta switch shit up to get the percentage back up. It's stupid really. Hard to get into a longterm groove.

Gotta love the rootmakers! I've been flowering in 3 gallon rootmakers but just switched over to their 5 gallons. Those containers are da shit, imo. I used to use smart fabric pots, but didnt want the hassle of having to wash them. Glad I switched. Matter of fact, I just put my first 5 gal rootmaker in flower yesterday! :woohoo: I'm pumped. Hahhahaha

im a big fan of the rootmakers as well, i used the 3 gals in the tents for years. got tired of watering and transplanting/repotting the smarties.
so i unwittingly left the fillup hose on a trickle last night and didnt catch it until this evening, about 20 hrs. probably dumped 20 gallons of water if not more. it all kind of seeps out the corner of the concrete floor but still, no bueno. no major harm thank god but still kicking myself for not triple checking it. i double checked and snugged the valve up last night but didnt go back that last time to be sure. fucking y valves

so ive got to prep a ten yard batch of soil next month. this is for the second bed im adding. same size as the first. looking at about a stack for investment and two pools for cooking which i dont have space for inside. i dont wanna do it outside either cause spring is on down here and bugs are coming. so im gonna cook it in place in the bed and set up containers to do another run alongside the current bed. then after that ill move the lights over the new bed and stagger them so i can pull down a bed every 5 weeks or so. thats the plan. oh and hopefully the lights will be two double cmh nanolux fixtures im moving toward replacing the two 1k hps with. so my goal is to clear a minimum of 1 lb per light so two per bed per month. quite a reasonable goal for me so its really about how far over i can go. just between us, i figure i can pull 3 per bed with most strains and once i switch everything to cmh that should be crushing 1gpw.
so thats the current plan.

the glue is really starting to swell. every night for the past 72 hrs they look bigger when i see them. calyx development and structure is very pronounced. they are starting to lean kinda hard. i noticed a slight shift in canopy arrangement around day 38 that is gradually turning into a post show shakedown street. mfers are starting to fish out. one stringy little guy had slipped out of the net and was doing a full on nose dive for the dirt. empty balloons and pbr cans everywhere.

finishing up the work in the veg tent today. store didnt have the 1 gallon bags like they assured me over the phone, so after making the 50 min trip over there i settled for half gallon bags. so cups going into those, cut the fresca reveg mom down and my biggest gg4 mom got chopped too. i have 4 gg4 moms and need to make room for the new moms. in addition to another bed of glue im running the extra cuts from reacquiring my old gear. will be nice to have some old friends back in the jars. and some new friends too!

I'm curious. Always trying to learn based on what I see in others pictures.

The center of your canopy/screen. I know you talked about it a bit earlier, not filling out as well. Now, later into flower, that is seriously apparent.

Your cola and flower development is much greater on the end closer to the fan.

Are we looking at a circulation issue, where a fan on the side wall would fix the issue or maybe raising the center lights up a bit higher than the others, etc.. More so than anything, just wondering what solutions you've come up with to address this issue.

If you think Glue is starting to swell now, just wait, She doesn't REALLY swell until about the middle of the 7th week. It gets so much better yet! You are going to be very happy. :joint:

hey frank! the difference your seeing is the height of the canopy. what had happened was, that bulb failed while i was vegging in the bed. i temporarily replaced it with a metal halide. so before flip that side of the bed (by the fan) was underdeveloped because the light was on its way out. light fails, mh goes in, plants bounce back and surpass the other half during stretch. now i replaced both bulbs with new cheapo 1k hps when i cut to dark at flip. in my mind im thinking it had more to do with this. it seems to relate to the light more than air. the ac is right by the shorter half of the bed too and theres a 14" oscillating floor standing fan thats right where i take pics from on the side. it is curious. what i was talking about earlier was the edges of the hotspot looking bigger than right underneath the lights. thats always been the norm for me i tend to keep my lights a little close but the glue seems extra sensitive to light intensity. ive got the 1ks at the ceiling now to allow them an additional 2" of breathing room during swell and finish. buyt yeah i overvegged these a little. as far as the canopy filling in its pretty uniform flower placement or whatever. she orientates from a fixed position very well. if you could see it from above youd only notice the difference in the size of the flowers radiating outward from the center. its weird though the height difference thing, only because that side started shorter.
whatcha think ab that eh?

ps, the fattest colas are in the back left corner by the box fan, i think its because of the reflective walls there. bulb issue affected heights somehow, and the wall side is bigger flowers because of whitenesses.
