I noticed that a while back too. Now I try to always veg for 2weeks in final container before bloom. Really helps pull out that extra yield. If you treat that wwk mono right, you're gonna be swimming in dense sweet nugs. The last wwk I did, I got 11.9oz off of it!! Dude I couldn’t freakin believe it! I was just hoping for 10+!! Super stoked about it. Now that the humidity has dropped, I’m not lookin to pull that much off of the one I got going now. 333g is insane! I never in a million years thought you can get that much outta a 5 gallon soil container. If I didn’t do it and someone else told me they did, I’d call them a liar! Bwahahaha

I've been flipping at transplant on purpose to keep them small, so I can squeeze more plants in there. Too many different strains going at once! Life is tough, lol.

ive got a feeling the wwk mono is gonna be smashing. probably gonna be my last run with the hps lights so i wanna crush it. this run of blue dream should be good too. i think ill clear 3 anyway and im embarrassed to say its been half a year since ive done that.

For ogks, chems, sours, cookies I flip 2 days after final transplant. I find these strains roots will fill out the pot, regardless of the height at flip.

For bubbas, masters and all indica dom plants I veg for 10-14 days in final pot before flip. These strains I find won’t fill out the pot unless given a proper veg in the final container.

hi guys im still here... my wife has been very sick for the past week, and ive had to spend all of my time caring for her and our baby (who of course had a head cold the whole week)

wife is ok, things getting back to normal. i was able to take some pictures on the 8th, which i think was 21 days for the blue dream bed.

ive been trying to keep up with work at night, par pro 1000w hps bulbs doing nicely, got some worms and bennies in the beds, blue dream cleaned up and defoliated some, glue and mystery aj potted up for next round under the 630s... ect ect

Scrogs looking clean and healthy. I just picked up some 630's, what kind are you running? I got some sun system 630's with phillips 3100's with 8" ac ports. There pretty nice, and I got a great price on them, but they are like tanks. they weigh about 50lbs a piece.

those sun system joints are yuuuge! and expensive, i was looking at them but went with the growers choice 630 de with the 3kR bulbs. this blue dream bed is under 2kw hps though, with new par pro bulbs.
wife and daughter both feeling much better thank you gentlemen, now to get down to catching up on all the work i missed...

the msrp is ridiculous on them. there was a holiday sale for $360 on the 630's with 2 phillips bulbs included.

The GC fixtures seem to do pretty well. Do you like them better than your hps runs?

not yet but to be fair ive had a few shit runs due to user error. the cmh lights seem to be less forgiving than a 1k hps. meaning that if you dont have your shit together at flip, you cant always just be like whatever it will still get heavy. i will say this though, i still fully intent on converting everything (hid) over to cmh. my moms might switch from t5s to led, but veg and flower will be all cmh by june this year.

ok so day 28 update pics from monday, saw a lot of trichome production over the past week, a topdressing of seabird guano last week might have helped that out a little...

im still handwatering, havent installed driplines or even mulched obviously...
wwk mono is rooted already, less than ten days again, pretty well established now i gotta get them into cups soon.... waiting to bump the glue and mystery aj out of the way first. they will be going in this weekend probably, or i might push it back depending on weather temps... gonna have to do some tinkering.

The transplanting at flip thing, I feel is variety dependent. Hybrid type and NLD type plants will stretch like usual, ime. I have an ECSD S1 that I flipped at about 12' tall, she's about 4' tall right now. Poprockz F3, same thing, flipped a 12" plant, finished just under 4'.

On the other side, flipped a Bubba at 12" and now it's about 14" tall. Forum cut is another rone that barely stretches for me. All transplanted at the flip. I've been doing that for about 7-8 years now. Every once in awhile, I'll flip one in it's veg container. I get about the same yield regardless. So instead of taking up valuable veg real estate, vegging in final container's, I transplant at flip.

wonder if your experiencing less radiant heat from the bulb too. cmh prob running alot cooler then the hps bulbs. took me awhile to learn that the room maybe 78, but the canopy leafs can be like 90. especially with de lighting. if you can get the money together the de 630's seem the way to go.

seeing alot less stretch with de cmh vs de hps.

loving the show

i also feel like theres a bit less stretch under the cmh. im still discovering the little differences, but im liking them. for sure less heat getting thrown on the canopy. no doubt

open reflectors are nice too. like the e-papillon reflector design. really allows that heat to rise.
