Sorry you're hurting. I got a ruined neck from Rugby. Who makes a child do that at age 7?!
Oh right the British...

So I grow in trays. They are between 32 and 40" off the floor. 32" in flower. But I have access to both sides. I dont think you do? Maybe some castors brother? So you can get behind the bed?

I only have to reach 2ft from either side. Reaching into a canopy is my nemesis. I have 3hrs defol on Monday. And 3 hrs on Saturday. And that is with my apprentice!

So once the heat has passed. And the hurricane debris is out of your trees?

Make your setup more ergonomic. You will thank yourself for years to come. Reaching to the backside for defol must be a real chore. The thought of it hurts!

its hard to tell but i do have about 18" on the other sides of the beds. less when the canopy is all crazy. so its a tight squeeze but i can get back there. crouching down to maintain the plants is shitty though. the first bed i built has casters on it but its so effing heavy i could never move it, especially by myself. so they are pretty permanent. its a great idea though but tough to execute at this scale.
i am bad about maintaining defoliation because of that issue. up to week 3 or so im fine hitting that post stretch defol but once shit gets real sticky, i usually drop the ball on the week 5 round.
speaking of, the leaves on the blue dream are ridiculous. i stripped it around week 2 and by whatever week this is, almost 5 i guess, the fan leaves were longer than my foot. the plants are only like 30" tall ish. maybe a touch more. it smells grrrreat already. very excited, my first time running the actual santa cruz cut. the last blue dream i had was a quick finishing bagseed that was pretty good, but lacked the full spice of the haze.

Yes that cut is a beast! You will love it. If it's not really hazy about 7 days post harvest it's not the "real deal"
Expect ferocious flowering!

Good to hear/see you are back on top. It seems like everyone is going through tough times in the garden. I am back from my 6 month spring summer hiatus. It's nice to have some stuff in flower again. I still have some upgrades to do in the 4k room, going to be getting it filled next weekend. I got 11 seed plants going in my seed/veg room, they are 2 weeks into flower. I am a few weeks ahead of last year. I am pushing hard this year with a bunch of strains.I got just over 13 pounds last year. Going for 20 pounds in the next 6 months. Going to be epic. I got a pm yesterday I got some new genetics an route from a very generous member here. That's going to change the plan some what. I have been smoking the same strain for 6 months, going to be the year of variety.

yeah here lately i go outside in the early morning and the air is just disgustingly thick with humidity. the heat is one thing but the humidity makes 90 feel like much more. its gross. i hate it.
lots of back hurt today. lots of work lately in the room. finally done defoliating every plant in the room to prep for thrip treatment. ive been hurting so much ive only been doing 2 hrs a night and even though i probably only have about 65 plants right now, inspecting each leaf during defoliation was painstaking. spraying starts at noon today.
dropped the ball big time this month so far. i have been struggling since that damn hurricane. the mixed bed is looking real nice though. short, but i barely lollipopped them at all and i think i have close to the same canopy depth. well not including the pink cheese. one plant in particular didnt get fimmed very well and is a tower. i really need to fill a bed up with about 35 of those clones and see what would happen.

Only 65? Lol, I feel so amateur when I read you guys. I'm still trying to figure out how to handle 5 or 6. All is coming though. Great to see you off and running again Nameless. Always inspiring to me

well 65 total, not flowering. a full boat for me is 36-48 in flower split between the two beds, then 20-24 1gals for going into a bed, 25 cups for going into 1gals, and 9+ moms, usually closer to 20 depending on how many seeds im sorting. so whatever all that is... i do find myself getting cramped by a 99 count limit sometimes but i always stay under that.... .. .

first spray went well but i forgot to put soap in there as a surfactant. duh. not like i dont have gallons of unscented dr bronners all over the house anyway lol. so hopefully this will nip my thrip issue in the bud. the plants they seem to like the most are glue and ajs sour, the one they like the least is blue dream. took a bit over a quart to spray the whole room lightly.

a sad day for all TPB fans... as most of you probably know already John Dunsworth, the actor who played Mr Lahey, passed away yesterday at the age of 71 from a "short and unexpected illness"
the tpb is such an excellent mockumentary i think people often forget that not only are the characters acting, but they are so convincing that you come to believe they actually are drunk all the time.
i could go on and on about the underlying social commentary of the show and how much i can relate to it, having spent my entire life in the deep south and observing trailer park life first hand... but this is about John. here is some stuff from wikipedia about his early acting career, after he dabbled in politics -

In 1970, Dunsworth leased an abandoned building on Halifax's waterfront, and converted it into a playhouse. Dubbing it the Pier One Theatre, it became the city's first and most successful alternative theatre production house.[5] In 1987, Dunsworth founded Filmworks Casting where he worked as Halifax's most renowned casting director.[1]Dunsworth met director Mike Clattenburg in the mid-1990s when he tried out for a bit part in Clattenburg's film short, One Last Shot.[6] Dunsworth's small role gradually transformed into a leading part that earned him a Best Performance award from the Atlantic Film Festival. From there, he further developed the character into what would eventually become Jim Lahey in Trailer Park Boys.

RIP John, guess your watching us all like a shithawk now, eh bud?
