I cant stress this enough. I wish one of you could actually physically get rid of all of these mites. I wish someone had a magic wand. Is anyone a wizard?

I can't stress this enough either. Am I panicing? YES. Am I overreacting? I don't think so.

If anyone wants to see this grow finish then I need all the suggestions, advice, links, etc that have to do with getting rid of this fucking BORG.

The frost monster has THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of eggs under every single leaf. A mass hatching is days away. I have been spraying Dr. Doom every three days with zero results, they are completely resistant to that.

My pest control lineup is Azamax (neem), Dr. Doom (pyrethrins), and beneficial fungi (worthless waste of money). I am thinking of completely breaking from organic practice to deal with this. Based on the number of eggs and the THICK impenetrable nature of the foliage on every plant, I anticipate that the mite population will quickly number in the millions.

I see two courses of action:

First, breaking with organic practice and spraying Floramite or Avid. This is nasty systemic pesticide that itself is only slightly better than having mites. I was hoping someone had information or experience with this.

Second, continuing with heavy sprayings of Azamax and Dr. Doom for the next week or so and then releasing every known mite predator in about double the dosage I think I need.

I have had shitty results with predators. They just leave/die. My climate is dry and hot. But I don't want to leave/die/have deformed children because of nasty chemicals. And I don't want to watch as mites destroy these plants that I have worked so hard on.

There are BILLIONS of plants outside the greenhouse WHY WHY WHY DO THEY LOVE MARIJUANA SO MUCH!??!?!?!??! F U C K mites. FUCK THEM.

It's not funny, but you did make me chuckle with your response.

So every three days should be the application rate here. I would add spinosad to your lineup for the organic defence. You should also maybe look into why your plant is susceptible in the first place. Usually a plant is suffering from a deficiency of some sort, which allows for pest infestations. Your plant looks healthy, but maybe you can see something I can't. Good luck, hope I helped a little.

Spinosad (Monterrey) is effective against thrips, but we have never seen it hurt mites at all... We use Fertilome Triple Action with great success, and it's cheap. This is applied with an atomizer for optimal results. Have the mites started webbing? You can look into Pylon bombs (Chlorfenapyr) which is a trans-laminar (not systemic) but still stays in the plant for at least a month, and probably longer. We use these bombs once a mited room has been chopped and emptied.

Nuke em every other day for 2 weeks make sure to hit the tops and bottoms of leaves, stems, top of soil and pots to make sure they all die.

pyganic and Spinosad work. Little expensive but get them. But an atomizer so you can drench it. Clone the plant down asap. Clean the cuttings. Dip them into a solution of hydrogen peroxide or may even very light pyganic. Keep these clones elsewhere for now. If you are low on funds maybe look into essential oils. Make a. Mixture of cayenne clove sesame oil vodka little Dr brothers or equivalent castile. Mike it up get it a bit hot on the stove. Mix it up and let it sit for a day. Strain and dilute. Don't freak out. Take small logical steps. If you are in northern CA I can help you out.

Try ivermectin if you have to go chemical,it's not systemic and has a very short life(i think a couple of days on the leaves and a couple of weeks in the soil).It will only kill the adults so will need to be sprayed every 3 days for 9 days but it has always worked for me.
I hate having to go the chem root but have found mites are a pain in the arse to eliminate without using them.

I have ordered predatory mites and will release them as soon as they arrive. Is anyone familiar with the predatory beetle, ladybug variant? I forget what its called but I might release 100 of them, they are supposed to eat 40 mites/eggs a day.

Mites are a drain on my soul. They are winning the battle, on my side, azamax, pyrethrins, predators...on their side, grower errors like making the plants so big that they can't be reached to be sprayed, the gravel floor is hard to clean, and the fact that they are a Borg, one of many manifestations of evil.

Enough about that. Positive thoughts? The GD-72 is almost entirely resistant to mites. So is my Panama.

Another positive: the plants they seem to go after are clones whose produce is less often consumed, the plants that resist are mostly clones whose produce gets smoked very rapidly. i.e., they like my least favorite strains, they leave alone the best (for now).

So, Frost Monster and Diesel are sacrificial plants. I fear what happens when they are gone.

Oh, more good news:

GD-72 x Purple Oldtimer's Haze seeds are almost ready. Not a whole lot, but the line is in a stronger position than before. Based on the flowering of the cut, I am pegging her flower time to be between 14 and 18 weeks with pretty decent yield, im excited.

Rosemary and lavender are both strong insecticides.
Better then azamax, imo, and all natural. Just soak some plant material in water for 24hrs.
I dilute 50/50 and spray. Alternating lavender and rosemary weekly.

about a week ago i used Spinosad every 3 days for 3 times and it seems like I got rid of my thrips-fiasco. Maybe this information helps you, or someone else in trouble with these *%§$/"&%-bugs.
