Found my long lost seed collection

Sorry Katsu, I hope I haven't derailed your thread posting all those quotes... I get a little carried away sometimes!

Anyway, I completely missed the Fig Widow x Haze/Skunk on your list, and I think that would definitely have to be in the top 3.

Thanks also for the heads up on the Metal Haze. I'll avoid it. Any idea about the G-Haze? A better Haze hybrid from DF? Either way, I think the Haze/Skunk might be "the one" :)

freely share, i do, and people do with me ! winning !

Back in the CBay days, there were a lot of private people doing exceptional work with genetics at the hobby and professional level. Outstanding heirloom genetics that were freely circulating.

Most of the Dutch Flowers gear I grew out were passed around to breeders and hobbyists to preserve the genetics. As far as I know, I purchased the only pack of Chocolate Trip and all the clones and seeds currently in the marketplace trace their lineage back to a cut I gave out (think Gorilla Glue).

I strongly encourage everyone to freely share your genetics. This is a practice that improves the quality of weed everywhere, and allows everyone to play at the highest level.

$5 in postage and a few snips off your favorite plant (or a few seeds) can rock somebody's world. Make it a practice and your karma will swell, bringing with it rewards you never imagined.

Don't be a hoarder!!!

I ran a pack of the GHaze and thought it was awesome. Heavens Stairway was selling them so I didn't really worry about re-upping and grabbing another couple of packs - then they were gone :-(

Really good haze hybrid

Heres the thread rykus:

I agree, when attempting to germinate high dollar or irreplacable seeds. If your a cheap bastard such as myself, i want every single seed to pop. I use rapid rooters instead of the sponge, and keep the temp set 78-82. High humidity + and a consistent warm temp is what helps your germ rates. For older seeds, a scuffing and soak in GA3, sea weed extract, or peroxide may be benificial as well.

I made one and it works awesome! Most of my seeds were stored like a dumbass and it pops 8-10 year old badly stored seeds everytime! The coolest thing is they all pop at the same rate! I call mine the germanator hahahaha... Seriously if anyone wants to pop old seeds make this thing! 80*F is the temp my heater stays at, I use bubbled tap water and I haven't scuffed the seeds. The moisture level in the sponges takes a little to get just right but after a few runs it's easy! Squeeze out just enough until it just stops dripping! :woohoo: best tool ever!

I've got 25 beans of Blowfish f2 I'm popping this fall, not just yet tho, probably beginning November. Everything I've read and seen so far has me excited to get em growing.

I really liked the 2 i grew, they had a devastating indica stone, lots of resin. A bit dutchy in smell and taste, not bad but nothing you'd rave about. Bag appeal was a 10 on both of them.

Here's the rundown on the Oxygen 19. Shortly before shutting down my grow, I did an open pollination of the reversed Bubba clone on a handful of moms that happened to be in the room, including the Oxygen 19. I still have a bunch of these beans, so I'm going to try and pop them first in case my germination methodology requires tweaking :)

Dutch Flowers - Oxygen 19
Both components of this inbred line have proven their outstanding quality in previous projects: Haze #19 gave our A13 Trip its notable hazey edge, and Indigo Blue provided its Midas touch to our Chocolate Trip, making it possible for a Thai-dominant high to live in an indoor-friendly plant.

Oxygen’s development was prompted by the desire to enjoy the uplifting, positive mood-inducing qualities and electric ride of the Haze, without having to worry about paranoia or high anxiety episodes. Even hard-core Haze aficionados admit that our Haze #19 has on occasion caught them off balance and threw them into a cold-sweating experience they rather not repeat. Several different crosses and breeding strategies were needed to identify Indigo Blue as the winning pollen donor that turned Haze #19 into an enjoyable, strongly euphoric high in a solid yielding, blue-tinged plant with a unique spicy berry flavor.

The influence of our sweet berry Indigo Blue breeder has removed the nasty paranoid bite, allowing for a comfortable, anxiety-free high while allowing full expression of Haze’s valued stimulating properties. Oxygen Haze is wonderfully mood-adjusting, providing bursts of irrepressible energy that demand expression, from cleaning the house to having sex, go dancing or running. The mind enjoys a lucid, highly creative state, while an exhilarating feeling stirs to action, without any anxiety or paranoia. Taste has also been improved, with unique raspberry and plum notes taking over the spicy, “metallic” notes typical of the Haze #19 mother.

Indigo Blue has also imbued outstanding vigour, making Oxygen easy to grow and clone, a welcome upgrade over the light and nutrient sensibilities of the Haze mother. Oxygen nearly grows itself even under lower light conditions, and its genetic stamina translates into exceptional yields. The abundant but fluffy sativa bud structure of the mother has been radically improved by the Indigo father resulting in added girth, resin and density. Big donkey-dick colas make Oxygen our best Haze-based indoor yielder yet, 150+ grams of aromatic, potent cerebral smoke in a reasonable 10 week flowering period.

It's probably my most favorite strain that I've grown out so far, although I haven't grown very many strains. Part of the reason is that I'm an outdoor grower, and not too many strains (that I have... it's mostly indoor stuff as that's where I started growing) finish OD @52N, but the BF does just about.

So far I've grown out 2 S1 BFs (check my sig for a full grow log from one season) and last year I grew out 6 F2s (3LB stock), which gave me 3 females, all different in structure:

picture.php

They all had similar highs, but the pheno I got that was more at the indica end of the spectrum had the best/densest bud structure of any plant I've ever grown.

This is her on 25 Oct, looking quite moth eaten since it was a very wet season and I had to remove lots of moldy buds:

It may have molded up last year, but then so did everything I had going, and considering how dense the buds were...

Also, all the F2 females I grew last year had deformed leaves to some degree or other during veg, and even variegated leaves in the case of the WLD pheno which I saved as a cut and have going again this year (a few pics in my gallery, but need to update).

Overall it's a great all round strain though. Very easy to grow, nice smells/taste/high, good yield and very pretty in flower. One thing to watch out for is Magnesium deficiency when going into flower.

How would you compare the Oxygen#19 with the G-Haze?

Good luck with those beans brother!

That's 5ish. Id have to do some research on many of the others.

Did I put KQxs in the list?

Just 5?!

Everything on the list is at least 15 years old

That's what makes it so awesome IMO, everything now is just cookie and OG crossed with every keeper male/female around. And while I do love me some OG, it's too much at this point.

Super Silver Haze breeder was CSC

Hmm so in reality the parents of those SSH's could be 20 years old. You could be sitting on something very special right there. I dont know how you feel about haze but if I were you I'd bump those up the list. That's about the same vintage as most of the cup winning cuts.
