Ahab I've always heard people say not to eat rabbit during the summer because of parasites. What are your thoughts on this? Heres an interesting read.

Im a firm believer in not eating rabbit in any month without an R in it. Just like the old belief about oysters.
We have a big freezer here. I fill it up with goodies during the hunting seasons and it lasts us the year.
Usually about 8-10 deer and numerous small tasty critters.
It's deer season right now. I'm just about to suit up and hit the woods for the last couple hours of the day.

Hey Herman, I don't think I ever told you this. In the early 70s my dad was summoned to the Whitehouse by the vice president and sent to Deutch land on official business. We had fun in Germany. Dad is a scientist, chemist, microbiologist, engineer, and was director of research for a fortune 500 company.

My mom is half German. Her moms family name is Gaertner
Guten Morgen Herr Doktor, it´s an very interesting theme for me, with the german family names in the USA. Some are still german, a lot are turned in english, but you can see the german roots and the 3rd part is jewish. Some names I only know from the USA, maybe the german part died out or they are from a part of germany, which I don´t know very well.
Funny, an example for german-american names. Just watching Viking-Panthers. A Vikings Player is called Thielen, my direct neighbor is called Thiede. In another Team is a Player called Witten, a fellow worker is called Witthohn. All are northern german names. Do Americans know what Edelman means in german or better english? It is my most favorite german-american football player name.
