Hows my Flwhorida peeps doin'!

Yo Mi amigos! What be up! Nice to see the rain has slowed down, hope it's better for you outdoor types.

Hey I have a question that I hope you guys can help me out with. I am not too good with the whole indica/sativa thing. I know one of them has skinny leaves and one has fat leaves, one is more prone to couch locking and one is prove to heady highs. I just don't know which is which. I have these two plants in my current run of seedlings:

and:

Which is the indica which is the sativa?

...Where do you know these people from that you trust them that much? I would love to meet someone to trade genetics with, but am VERRRRRRRY leery of doing it.

I have traded seeds and cuts with people whom I never met in person. I did it through the mail with a safe addy.

The few times I have met growers in person, I didn't bring anything illegal with me, not even in my car. It was nice to be able to talk about growing with somebody who understood me.

Thanks Trop! The last sentance says it all... You capture the essence of what I was whining about when I wrote my post!

Just back today from a great trip down to Treasure Island with the fam. It's amazing how when I was driving down 5th Ave N headed to the beach that I was transported back in time to when I lived down in Broward. I kid you not the houses were the same, the heat was the same, the smell was the same, it could have been Powerline Road... good times. Only bummer on the whole trip was my poor wife got stung by a stingray. She doesn't smoke, but I shotgunned her until the pain went away, she now understands medical marijuana!

Hempy cups are doing great, updated pics in the jornal later tonight.

Peace out peeps!

Tell me about it. She has had 2 kids with, but she said this was the worst pain she had ever experienced in her life. Thank G-d someone told us to bathe the sting in hot water, it really does inactivate the venom and ease it a little bit, I'm sure the weed helped her more though!

he imfamous florida krip

I know it sounds kind of wierd - but the best thing to put on a stingray sting is urine.

Just to get rid of this common misconception....

How to Treat a Stingray Sting

Relax. Despite the tragic death of Steve Irwin, stingray stings are rarely fatal. That said, you should seek professional medical attention if possible. Stingray stings are caused by a sharp barb that transmits a protein-based venom. This venom causes extreme pain that will spike and decrease over the next several hours, and often leave cuts and abrasions at the sting site. The pain is most extreme during the first 30-90 minutes after the sting, spiking on and off during this time as well. It is common for a sting to bleed and swell.

If you experience any nausea, vomiting, muscle cramping or chills, stop reading this article and go to the nearest emergency room immediately, as this could be a sign of an allergic reaction or overdose of venom.

Expose the sting by removing any clothing around the affected area.
Soak the affected limb in the hottest water tolerable for at least an hour. Holding a candle flame as close to the affected area as you can stand will also help while you wait for the hot water. Because stingray venoms are composed of heat-labile proteins, doing this will alter the tertiary structure of the polypeptide protein molecule by denaturing and thereby deactivating the poison. Ultimately this means that the venom will have less effect. Not only does the hot water help with the venom, but at the same time it will significantly reduce the amount of pain the victim is experiencing. Beach lifeguards sometimes keep buckets of hot water around the station on busy summer days - you could ask to use it. The venom will often become gel or jelly-like and ooze from the open wound--this is desired.

Wrap the wound in a makeshift bandage from any available clean, lint-free cloth soaked in hot water once the wound has stopped oozing.
Use a topical antibiotic to reduce the chance of infection and relieve pain. If the wound site shows any signs of infection, such as redness, prolonged swelling, or pus, seek medical attention immediately. Topical antibiotics are not a substitute for proper medical attention. Untreated infections can result in loss of limbs or death.

Hot water really works. The pain associated with the sting is absolutely excruciating. If you are taking care of someone who just got stung, if it is not already in hot water, stop reading, go soak it in hot water.
If stung in the hand, make sure and remove any rings so that any swelling will not cause loss of digits.
Vinegar, urine, orange juice, ki-ora or any other liquid besides almost-scalding hot water will NOT be effective against stingray venom. (Acids may, however, ease jellyfish stings). Whenever you swim, especially in tropical waters, always be cautious. Stingrays, sharks, and other dangerous sealife could be around. Also, watch out for people around you that might need help.

Drag or shuffle your feet when you are walking into the water so that you bump into stingrays instead of stepping on top of them. .

Yeah the urine thing is for jellyfish sting. Hope everyone is staying safe! Just saw another grow bust in Volusia with over 800 plants. Its hot down here so be careful but keep strong. This state needs some change, seriously.

HEY GUYS!

With hurricane season coming up real soon I know someone out there has to be as worried as me? For some reason I feel like this year is going to be pretty bad.. How are you all preparing for the storms and power outages?

I'm guessing all of us FLA boys should invest in a generator?
