cool setup joseaf
there is no way i am going to spend $70 on a usb microscope. that one does look nicer built though.
radioshacks and some toy stores have them for normal price of $40, but i've read alot of people on icmag get them on sale for around $20.
i use a 60-100x magnifier i got at radioshack for $10

Yeh I understand, they were much cheaper before Xmas. This thing is no toy either.
400x is no joke...that shit is hard to capture....stability is a MUST. I cant touch anything while trying to take the pictures...which makes it difficult to focus as you can assume.
I dont think I could've enjoyed the pleasures of such a toy as a child...
Now Im actually patient enough to use it....and I have a subject for the photos...
The toy would probably be more user friendly...just achieving lesser results.

I just google searched "Toy usb microscope" and changed the display to "priced from low to high" and blammo....$20 versions. There are some goodens.

*EDIT* Thats a sweet setup you got joseaf. Did you build it or buy it? Recirc, right? How the rez maintenance? (You know, add back, ph fluctuation, if any). I'd love to one day run and e&f system with buckets but that whole rez maintenance thing gets me. I'm running drip to waste and it is sooooooooooo easy. Especially because my waste line goes outside.

thanks ioni, i've seen many pics using the toys, and your pics looks pretty bad(sorry man, im not being mean, just honest, the iso ones were crisp though). the ones you posted and purchased are true microscopes. i don't want that at all as you need it fixed to a table to make the pictures decent and not blurry. i just want the handheld toy camera looking thing. i imagine the lenses on those are MUCH larger than those microscope ones. i guess i want a EYECLOPS type, those are what most ICMAG people use, its easy, and you dont get all those blurry pics! you can find these on clearance from time to time for 20-30.

The harvest this year looks good. I had an opportunity to try some FL grown this pass weekend and I was very very satisfied. I would like to do outdoors, but I am not an sure about going in the woods. I am not experienced with the outdoors. Indoors is safe and I control the enviroment.
