I read that thread and I went out and replaced most of my cfl's that day. Hard to replace the Satco 85 watter.

AL sorry to hear about your FIL as well. I lost mine week before xmas was so sad with my wife and her whole fam. I know what your going through this part in our lives is the worst to bare. But we have to tell our selves they are in a better place then us. And remember them everyday. I cant thank my father in law for all the precious times he showed me love. And I didn't get the chance to tell him I wasn't there . But I hope you get to. Be well..

Marine tanks are a definite obsession. Take it from a recovering reef addict. I thought drugs were expensive until I got into the marine aquarium hobby...

that's going to be my next step is a marine tank... I have to imagine that they are easier than freshwater. I mean the initial startup costs being the heavy weight and cycling the tank until it's perfect... but after that I imagine that it's all gravy because with a protein skimmer and the right algae you marine guys don't have to do the weekly 20-30% water changes freshwater tanks demand. Plus, some types of Trigger fish look super fucking cool.

if you have decent filtration,and DO NOT OVER FEED...
ya can get away with one or two WC a month...I used to be daily 25% every week...but that IS NOT NECESSARY...at least for me it.wasnt..and as long as ya tank is not LOADED with fish...salt is way more detailed,and more to worry about then fresh...at least i think so...even thou those enemies are pretty bad ass..

I got WaltDisney and Skittles Stylo ... AfterParty so much shit Ive got a frag tank in the back lol...Chiller, Echotech everything even led's got rid of my old HIDS and switch out last summer love them... Im not even using any supplemental lighting. Best Color and growth Ive ever had on the SPS,LPS zooz everything.

Unfortunately my tanks are only a memory now. Had to sell everything when I was in the hospital just to pay my cobra from month to month. Now on disability not going to be getting another any time soon.

Had a 265g and 90g full of SPS and LPS. That Riteri Anemone was my prize though and those 2 Black Percula Clowns loved it. The pictures don't even do it justice. You can't tell from the picture but that Anemone was a foot across when open.
