ive got nothing flowering so ill flip a tent today and set for the correct time.
ive got the heat mat under some seeds and the ACE VB Thai seeds that never popped were recovered out of the rapid rooter and since they still looked OK i put them in a wet paper towel but im not expecting them to pop but its a bonus if they do.

yes im classic stoner,...soooo we set the time.back a hour,(i always un plug and re set)....but.say ya got ya timer on from 6-6 7-7,arent ya still gonna get ya 12hours regardless, since the timer is actually.still set for a 12hr window??....ive always wonder that....

sucks about the seeds. i've had my issues with that too. i recently got some really old 10+ seeds to pop but they got eaten by fucking nematodes. i use kelp+superthrive+molasses. and rubbing alcohol.
still refining my method but here's the steps i took.
i germ in water soak.
so i put the seeds in a shot glass and cover with about 1/2 inch of rubbing alcohol 50% strength, haven't tried higher yet, i'll try 91% on these seeds i'm gonna attempt later. leave that for about an hour or 2 till it's mostly evaporated. this step is an attempt to kill off any fungi that may have gotten on the seed coat over the years waiting for their opportune time to attack. after this step i rinse em off and soak in the kelp+st+molasses mixture. i haven't measured anything accurately but i pretty much use like 1/4 a teaspoon molasses +10 drops super thrive + capful of kelp in a 1pt (16oz) water bottle fill with tap water and shake. i soak in this mixture till they crack then i transfer to my heated dome and growing media.
last few times i got crack in 24 hours or less and tails on some. the first batch of this method got eaten by nematodes
when i put them into my reused coco. sofaking pissed when i dug up those seeds and see em crawling with goddamn larvae. second time i got cracks in 24 hours and decided i'm gonna try paper towels which i haven't done in almost as old as these seeds are after watching some youtube videos. i used to seal them in a ziplock but the guy on youtube is like "leave it open for air exchange" so i put this in my heated dome and wrap in a small towel to "keep em in a dark place" leave for a few hours and come back to a dried out paper towel and seeds that are apparently after 4 days in these peat pucks...not gonna come up.but anyway that's what's been working for me so far with these old ass seeds i got, just put a few more into alcohol bath. wish you and me the best of lucks.

timer is still 12 hours but the time you have to get in your garden changes. me i go to sleep at 9am. means i have to be up before 8am now to do my last watering and checks. if i miss it i can't go in there till they come back on in the evening.
I'm on 7am to 7 pm for reasons of light pouring through the vents of my window AC in the morning and light showing in the evening.13 years and I never had a "leaky" fuckin window unit.DONT get a Frigidaire if you use a window unit.I'll change the clocks in my house,but my timer stays as is.Good eye bucketwithsoil.
