Sure they remain out until the end of the season > 1-20. Oct depending when frost comes.
Those MTF phenos wont get mature i know , but i dont have a problem setting up an extra room for those 6-7 outdoor plants + the hog will carry seeds on some branches and i have to finish her when the beans are ready.
If i find one promising MTF pheno i´ll dust some bottom branches with my Rom male, just for fun and to recover my empty bean stash ..

yep, mine are a little ahead of yours (2nd fully developed). Looks like mine are mostly Indica... still have 6 beans to try out though :)

what i want is an MTF male pheno to use on all my ladies :)

jep those outdoors are really slow :) the indoor TFB´s are much faster

Blowfish

ssH´s (my own :yummy: )

This is a seed i found in the last batch of my Sage n Sour SD pheno, the only males that hit the flowering room @ this time were Chronic/DutchDragon and ssH .So lets wait, maybe its a male then i cull it

*all coffee cups were transplanted today in larger pots with a nice Plagron GrowMix

whats up FJ?

things are lookin real nice over there ...thats for sure!

those indoor TFB's are looking to def. be mostly indica's, but they do seem to all look that way until ya start to see some of the side-shoots develop a bit....thats where I usually do my telling.

your OD grow has got me goin crazy trying to find a spot to put at least 1 clone outside to see how it does, but I'm a bit scared to do it around here....I'd like to put several out, but I just cant find a "secure place".

I have an idea in mind, but not sure how to work it out.????

I'd like to put 1 in sort of a semi-greenhouse, what I'm thinking is a opaque type cylinder like a semi clear piece of large diameter pvc pipe, or a makeshift version of that. it would def. constrict the plant from spreading out, but i could put it or a couple up on my upstairs outside porch, and it wouldent look like anything really.

does that make any sense.

...any ideas? I want the plant to get the sun, but not be seen, and thats the only way I can figure it out... unless I put a few up in a treestand (but then people are gonna wonder why Im running up there all the time to water, and thats gonna be a goofy situation.

I really think that i could pull something off in a clear tube, as long as its transparent enough for sun, but opaque enough to conceal the plants.

mhm thats tricky but i know several ways to get some plants unseen , im a gardener ;)
you can plant it in the trees as a parasite and the plant dont need any watering or ferting the tree will do it and the plant will grow strong and healthy in one season and she will leave the tree alive and healthy too, you just have to find a ph chart of the trees in your environment/location... tell me when youre ready to take some clones and when you have choosen some trees (different kinds and locations with leafes dont take christmas tree like trees ... sry im stoned like assss ... ) If you like my idea we will find a way ;)

Outdoor TFB´s : 5 lost their life to a drought, i was working as they dryed out to much,i culled the 5 and replaced them with 2 Blockhead clones grape pheno i guess :smoke:

thats sad news on the 5 lost TFB's

I love the idea of making a tree a host to my parasitic MJ plants...LOL

seriously!...and I never thought of that in a million years.

the thing is ...damn near every tree around me is a "pine tree"....yeah fukin christmas trees. I love the trees, but never heard anyone call them xmas trees except at christmas (which i dont celebrate) ...I'm not against it, but just the thought of christmas makes me ill. (such a selfish holiday in america)

anyway...I have pine trees, and an aspen tree grove right in front...thats my only other option (could u do a gurella grow in an aspen grove using the trees as host?)...that would be INSANE.

..and how do I go about obtaining that "ph chart" for my trees???

lets figure this out FJ....I have a dozen TFB clones that just rooted (less than a week from cutting). 8 are going in my little indoor flower cab for my 1 pound try (thats another thread).

If the aspens will work I'd go there....how much feed and water would they need and how would they get it?...man this sounds badass if it would work.

tree-top basket-growing should do the trick for ya yukon. its quite well used as far as i know.

i got family in BC-canada using that way for growing stealthy. just take a walk at night in the forest and climb some trees.

the pvc tubes wouldnt work too well if u dont ad ventilation inside - humidity should give ya lots of mould.

general tip: spray paint ur baskets in camouflage - even though people dont normally look up too much in the forest - but beter be safe.

btw - use short indicas and choose a tree that will have leaf in the time of the harvest of the plants - if not it will look really weird. also try to match the leaf colour with the plant.

just common sence.

peace - bone

good advice bone

the trees on my property are huge tall pine trees, and i def. could get up there and do a treestand grow...like u are sayin, but a couple problems I see are that there are neighbors that NEVER leave their house (i work every day) and getting up there to water in colorado would have to be a daily thing for sure. It's just gonna look suspicios. (using a tree as the host would work if i could pull it off it sounds like less maintenance???)

wouldent the cylinder "greenhouse type material" work if I drilled ventilation holes, and maybe even installed a solar fan or something? The only access to my upstairs porch is through my upstairs loft.

ah - fill the baskets with ur favourite soil mix - the humidity in the coastal forest growes in BC and alaska should be enough for not to have to water unless its a drought or similar.

my bro (in BC) didnt need to water at all - but there the relative humidity is very high (70%) and the morning mists do all the watering the plants need.

the ph of the trees should not make any diffrence as long as ur using ur own soil in the baskets. it means if u would use the soil from a pine forest (very acidic) i dont think the results would be too good.

check at what time the aspen looses its leaf in the autumn - and that way u can tell more or less if it would be a good idea.

good trees to use can be:
cypresses, Bay Laurel and similar looking trees.

to me it seems the tubes will cause too much trouble to be worthwile - atleats untill u get them controlled and working. it would be a constant experimenting untill u can controll the temps/humidity and bugs.

but its not impossible - merely a question of time to spend with the project.

if i were you i would try to plant the little cuttng directly btw two branches of the tree where you had cut out a bit of the bork ... the plant will take the water from the tree as well as nutes .... so its important that you find a tree with leafes .. no needles !!!

here´s a small update on Venomberry 99

KaliMistX13T keeper

KaliMistX13T pheno II

that kind of what i thought FJ....what if I drilled a DEEP 1/2" wide hole in the "elbow" and maybe packed it w/ some organic mix..would that help any....and where do the roots go when the grow...I cant imagine them rooting into the tree...but I dont know?

50 BH clones!!! hell yeah....we're right on the same page bro!

Oh sure they enter the stems bork and "look" for water and nutes there , and when finally connected well to teh tree your plant dont need anything from you.

it sure is an interesting subject - grafting i mean.

i have read a few articles about grafting different strains of cannabis to one host cannabis plant - but its clear its a bit more difficult to graft cannabis to other host plants (commonly used in experiments is hops for example.

" Most growers who have tried grafting Cannabis and Humulus are unsuccessful. Compared to many plants, Cannabis does not take grafts easily. Most of the standard grafting techniques you've probably seen for grafting Cannabis simply don't work. For example, at the University of Mississippi, researchers failed to get one successful graft from the sixty that were attempted between Cannabis and Humulus."

the problem seems to be to find an compatible host.

this far in the world of cannabis research the ONLY plant that cannabis have been succesfully grafted in (meaning a proper harvest etc) is hops. they are very closelly related.

however it is possible to keep a cutting alive in other hosts - but the flowering part is the big problem.

if u guys find any info that says the contrary (i.e. claims of cannabis being possible to graft into to any host) - please pm me where u got the info from.

peace :D
