july 30th - day 39 of 12/12 - humberry

hello all,

i spent a couple hours and put these together. thanks verdant for the idea, i hope these work as well as yours.

the distance from the screen to the top of the bucket is 8.5" on one and 10" on the other.

they were pretty easy to put together and i hope they will help contain the size of the plants for next go round. also it would be nice to have the canopy a bit more uniform

That sure is a nice setup and those plants look great too. I've got a DR80 and DR100 from Secret Jardin and love them. I hope you have a heavy harvest.

update of the flowering tent, day 43 for the humberry - the super lemon haze in the front right of pic #2. she hasnt started flowering yet, day 15 kinda odd since the humberry began flowering in 6-7 days. they were much older and more mature when i put them into flower so i am figuring that is the difference.

all looking great in here - good luck with the screens - i think you will find 8" above the pot is plenty for most strains but perhaps you have a bit more headroom than me.

i'll be watching

thanks for taking a look verdant, i gotta go back and see your methods for training them under the screen. i figure i will move them into the buckets and train them for a while then plop the screen on top of her. i wanted try pinching the stems and bending the tops back this time instead of cutting the top.

well i have gotten the go ahead to start another flowering chamber in my bro-in-laws closet. it is a bigger walk in closet so i will just be using the back half of it. construction begins sunday and i have already ordered most of the stuff we will need.

so i have been to ashamed to admit, but i have a problem. i have had 0% success with cloning.

heres the methods i have tried -

took scissors and cut a few bottom branches from the humberrys right before they went into flower. put them directly into a cup of water. used a clean razor blade to cut to desired lenth (45 deg angle)- dip into olivias gel. stick 2 into cloning plug, 2 into rockwool plugs. all 4 were dead in 3 days

next try - took 4 cuts with clean razor blade at 45 degree angle, dropped all 4 into 8 oz glass ( each in own ) changed water after 7 days. after 3 weeks 1 had grown some roots, so i took it and dug a small hole in a small soil pot and planted it. within 48 hours it was laying on the dirt dead. the other 3 never sprouted roots

next try - soaked 6 jiffy pucks in water, cut clones, dipped olivias, into jiffy pucks, 3 weeks later, nada

next try - some rockwool, some jiffy pucks, some more cuts -

ok so i fig maybe the bottle of olivias is bad, so i got some new stuff - "drip grow system" i think is what it was called.

so now i have 2 slh and 8 cheese clones that are surely just sitting there waiting to be thrown out, got them in jiffy pucks again, making sure to not let them dry out or be to wet. got them in the humidity dome, sprayed the inside lid real well when i put them in

cliff notes - op sucks at cloning and is getting frustrated - on a side note i have 100% succes with sprouting seeds

how much light are you giving the clones?

the first go around i had them under a cfl bulb. one of those ones that is supposed to be 60w but uses 13w, not a grow bulb at all.

the other times i have put the dome on the bottom shelf in my small veg tent. i has a 150w cfl grow bulb. temps in the tent are 75-82.

i have tried cutting the leaves when i do it as well, this time i left them in tact. i also tried putting the jiffys closer together, but that was with the olivias gel, which im hoping was bad.

i can honestly say a few have died in the rockwool because i had a hard time keeping optimal wetness of the rockwool

Sorry to hear about your cloning! I also have tha same items, but will be ready as soon as they get bigger. THe only thing different is that I will be using rockwool cubes.

Please tell me the width of the shelve rack in the prior post? I could use one in my DR60 tent!

cant find my tape measure at the moment, but it is just about an inch longer then my humidity dome, i got it at target for $ 20-25
